Visa & Embassy

I got my visa stuff this morning - another great big disney WOOHOO - my appointment is on the 22nd August who else? ;D

 

I didn't realise they booked it for us? ??? I don't know whether mines arrived yet- have to wait til I get home and see whether my sister was home to sign for it or whatever we had to do!

no they dont, i booked it but it says on the letter thing at takes ages so do it straight away - so i did and the 1st available appt is the 22nd august, considering there is quite a few going on the 13th, 6th and the 20th i figured the quicker i do it the earlier the appt, ;D

 

Ahh ok! If they're still open when i get home i'll book it this evening! What time is your appt? I'll try and book it for a similar time!

they gave me the options of 9/9.30 etc and i chose 12.45 cos we have to get there from all the wa down here ad i didnt fancy getting up too early ;D

I got my stuff too, the guy wasn't as nice though because he didn't really give me a choice of times, he just said 10:30am so I took it. I'm on the 22nd of August too though, so we'll probably see each other considering that the letter says to expect tp be there for 4 hours!

Edit: Just wanted to ask, did you guys get asked for your passport number/expiry date when booking the appointment? The letter we got said we would and then I wasn't!

i got my visa stuff through the post aswell this morning, they werent very helpful on the phone as my interview is on the 30th Aug as i am in Spain on the 22nd. why do we need an interview, what do they want to know????? my interview is at 12.45 and they also said you can expect to wait up to 4 hours, so why do they give us a bloody interview time, how silly are those people, i was worried as mine is later, compared to everyone elses but i rang jason and he said that was ok!

Lol don't worry about the interview, I've done one before. Just be sure to be there early and you won't have to wait as long as most. All I was asked was when I was arriving, leaving and what I would be doing while I was there.

Then you get signed off, paper work stamped - all that good stuff.

 

I got the e-mail but haven't had my stuff yet. I'm on holiday from the 10th-24th of August but when i spoke to Jason he said it'll be fine to arrange on appointment for when i'm back, at the end of August, although I spoke to Alexis the other day and she wasn't quite as pleased!

 

Just done my visa stuff to, I got an appointment on 22nd of August at 12:45, same as Kelly I think. We'll have to arrange to meet then.

I didn't get asked for my passport no and expiry date either!

heh, yeah, I'm going to be there *forever*. If I go by train I'm going to have to catch it at 6:28am. It will get me into Euston at 9:06 and I will then have to take a 16 mintue tube ride to Bond Street and walk to the place.

Sigh, wouldn't it be nice if we had a public transport where I didn't need to leave so much time 'just in case'. We'll definately have to PM each other before hand and get numbers and stuff (I may still have yours charlotte) then we can text if we're around.

hey! my interview is on 22nd august and 1:15! so guess I will see some of u!! I'm driving down so won't have to worry about the trains bein on time!! hate trains!!

Do any of u know if we need to photo to be 2inches square (like it says on the info) or can we just use a normal passport size photo?? the whole photo thing seems real fussy!

 

well i got some stuff from the embassy this morn and it goes on forever about stuff i dont understand lol, it has a picture of what size they want the photo :-\

 

lol and on que my post drops thru the letter box with...you guessed it...my embassy info!! lol
