in the UK we didnt, as when we had our background check it was also forwarded to disney as well as to ours so we didnt need to take it to the embassy for our interview. but many countries dont go through the same visa procedures as the UK xxx
Hi Nadea... You're Canadian, so you don't need to go get your visa approved at the embassy. You do need to get your criminal background check done. I remember Eric telling us to go as soon as we found out we were hired. Just go to a police station and request one. Mine took about 3 or 4 days, I think. Disney should send your visa approval to you. All you need to do is take the cerified copy they send you to US Customs at the airport and you will get an I-94 card (an arrival/departure record) stapled into passport. Hope that helps. Sandra
well i have a problem,, i haven't gotten my check done yet because i forgot about it!! i leave on the 13th,, i just need to make sure that when i go to get my i-94 card i don't need to have my criminal record check with me
Okay, then I would suggest you go tomorrow to get your criminal check. You definately need that to work. It should only take a couple of days and then you can fax it to Eric. Have you received your pkg in the mail with all the info, luggage tags and mickey stickers? My application for my visa was included in that package. This cerified copy is what should get you the I-94 card. Us Customs needs to know why you're going to the US and for how long. Sandra
don't worry you'll be fine. i don't leave till the 14th and i went to go do my criminal bkgnd. check a couple days ago. they said it'd take about a week for me! so i'm sure you'll be fine! plus it cost me $40! i'm i the only one who had to pay?
Nope, I had to pay for mine too. I think it varies depending on the province. Ontario seemed to be more than some of the others. Don't worry, Nadea, as long as you get it really soon, you should be fine. See you there very soon! Sandra
No worries Nadea...it will come, hopefully they are a little faster with it in other provinces then BC...it took me 2 weeks for mine to come in but i am sure that you can put a notice on the application to put it through faster... Robyn
wow i went to get mine done and it took 10 min! good ol Ottawa, there so speedy sometimes.....they did it while i waited, it cost me $35 with tax included. sheena
wow, pretty lucky to be out here in NB in a small town then, it was free and took like 2 days, weird eh?
hey sheena, i'm going down in 4 days, still can't believe i get to work in orlando for the summer, it's gonna be unreal. looks like i'll probably miss ya since you're heading down in september... noticed you're from ottawa, i've lived there my whole life, only out here in nb for school, add me to msn if you want! -abed
I'm just wondering what shows up on your criminal record check?? I think I have an unpaid skytrain violation ticket...lol. Would that be on my record? And things like unpaid parking tickets? Or just really bad stuff like arrests etc.?
We get the I-797 form at least 4-6 weeks before we are due to go to Florida for our Visa application if this helps anyone!
The only things that come up on ur background check are anything that you have been formerly charged or convicted with. Parking tickets would not lol.
hey there, sorry for sidetracking the topic i was just wondering if there is something were meant to be doing for the visa or if we just have to wait?ive totally forgotten what was originally said xxx
