I just got my stuff from Yummy to start my Visa application but do they accept switch cards to pay the fee on the phone when booking appointment?/
yes they do indeed accept switch (i think switch is now called Visa Debit!!) and yeah, you pay the fee ($100) on the phone when you book the appointment. It works out at about £63. After you book and pay for it you will recieve an email reciept which you have to print out and sign and take with you to the embassy!!
£63?!?! The only number I saw on there when skimming through was $35, which I thought was pretty good... Dammit, I knew that was too good to be true!
hey there, can someone give me the first step in the aplication pack from yummy jobs. I wanna ring up and pay may fee and make an apointment at the embassy but my pack is at home (and i'm not) so the number and a bit of a guidline would be fantastic
you cant book your visa app. untill you have recieved you I-797 notice of action form in the post. It comes in on its own from yummy - its not in with your welcome pack.
According to the yummy stuff i have it says i can book it straight away - it doesnt even mention anything regarding a I-797?? The letter just says you need some basic personal details which it lists?? Also do we have to pay the $100 and tyhe $35 ??
When i went it was just £63 for the visa charge..then the courier charge..I didnt have to pay $35..i don't no where thats come from... It might be one of the other stupid charges we had to make for absolutely no reason whatsoever! Like the "Program Assessment Fee" they only charge you that because your that excited to go and don't realise that its just added onto disney's end of year profits! Were basically paying to work there.. Don't get me wrong though..i do love the place..
yeah the only fee you pay for the visa is $100 (£63) well i dunno - when you phone up to book it they ask you if you have recieved your notice of action......go ahead and try and book it,im not saying that you cant but they asked me if i had my I797 and stuff.....
When you phone up to book your VISA what happens? Like can you pick a date or do you just have to take what they give you?? Can't believe I have to go all the way down to London AGAIN!! xx
They'll tell you when there are appointments available from, and you can pretty much pick out of them, what time you want, etc, etc.
tell me about it! i just came back yesterday after spending a weekend in london to find my visa package had arrived telling me i had to go back to london! garghghg!
Does anybody know if we have to be at the embassy for like 9am or can we go at 11 or something? Haven't got any dates sorted myself yet but I'm just looking into flights and things. Would really like to get it over and done with in a day and not have to stay overnight. xx
They have times throughout the day to chose from, my one last year was at 11am. Remember you will have to wait in the embassy for HOURS if you go to the London one... i think i was in by 11am and left around 4ish... most of which was waiting and your not meant to take phones or ipods or any other electircal equipment in so it is realllly boring!
Yeah..i'd of thought books would of been ok.. I would advise to book the earlier appointments tho..but at the end of the day its the luck of the draw..it just shoots out random numbers..someone who got there 200 numbers after us got to the desk over an hour before we did..
best piece of advice i can give you is go the embassy in belfast. i boked my app for 11am,got a flight over from Glasgow - arrived at 9am,took a taxi to the embassy, got there at 11am and was out and on my way back to the airport at 12.15!!!! it was very fast, waiting for hours in london is a total joke,i wouldnt waste your time!!
