just thought i'd start a little thread to ask what everyone's plans are? admittedly, the concept is pretty much driven by hallmark and all those who can make a few quid, but that doesn't mean singletons won't be surrounded by lovey dovey couples all day! so, singletons, what are your plans? and for those in relationships, make us jealous and tell us what you're doing to mark the occasion!
I'm working 12-10! LOL! The best Valentines I ever had was last year. Me, and three of my best friends (2 girls, and 1 boy after a lot of coaxing and blackmail) made meatballs and pasta for dinner, then vegged out on wine and snacks whilst watching all of BBC Pride and Prejudice (thats just under 6 hours runtime, and we had breaks so it lasted about 8 hours!) We finished at about 2/3AM and then played video games! It was seriously the funnest Valentines I've ever had! I think Valentines is about celebrating love between friends as well as romantic love! Oh and G (the friend who was a boy) conceded at the end of P&P that it was awesomeness defined!! VICTORY!
Well im working during the day and at night i think i will just stay in the house and go online, as always, haha. My perfect evening, and maybe some drinking, maybe!!!
I love Valentine's Day when i'm single and when i'm with someone! I'm flying to see my boyfriend for Valentine's Day, so I have no idea what he has planned he wont tell! lol! But I also made my friends those cute little Valentine's you used to do in grade school and gave them out! I think it's a good excuse to tell everyone you love them, friends, romantically, whatev! I LOVE IT!
dont like the day but lots of people do. I will be working the local football derby (huddersfield versus leeds) 9 til 3..or until we have cleaned up and the fans are all out (hoping no one gets stabbed...apparently its happened). I may be going for a meal with my other half to celebrate our anniversary a week early as his brother has organised his birthday party on our anniversary! Yes my boyfriend has put up with me for three years!!! If we dont it will be a night in with a movie, probably Tropic thunder or the new Kevin Smith film.
I'm serving at a cafe until 2pm and then I'll most likely give in and watch a rom com to ease my bitterness over being single and having two loved up housemates!!
I shall sleep all day, catch up on some soaps and telebox programs, see if i win the national lottery - then go to work at 11pm and work til the morning after ;l fun times x
I'm not probably going to do anything special.. I'd like to get something nice like flowers or chocolates but chances on that are slim. :-\
so far the plan seems to be were gonna go to the cinema at about midday to go and see The Curious Case of Bejamin Button/Vicky Christina Barcelona, then gonna head back to my boyfriends flat play some video games and have a wee indoor picnic and then were gonna go and be all posh and see an opera. im not really a huge fan of valentines day myself so i would have been happy doing nothing but never mind.
i forgot to put my plans earlier. after the joys of washing lots of clothes we have a brilliant mix: swans v fulham + france v scotland + wales v england + beer = hopefully good times! dunno who i'll be supporting in the football, but my housemate is a swans fan...i'll just stay quiet
I'm going to the indoor waterpark with my friends at West Edmonton Mall. It has a slide that is quite similar to summit plummet at blizzard beach! It'll be nice to have a bit of a getaway from the cold!!!
