    Hey,
I am hopin there are some people on here who have crossed the boarder with visas because I really think it will be different but is it a big deal or not? I am crossing the boarder than going to take a flight from Buffalo. I am not quite sure what to expect, I know there is something I do need to get stuck and miss my flight and I want to see how it worked out for anyone else.
    Thanks in advance!

If I were you I'd just make sure to give myself enough time that just in case something would happen it would be okay.

I had absolutly no issues when I worked at a summer camp, they didn't even ask me anything.. they just stamped my visa and handed it back to me. at least I'm almost positive they stamped my visa.. it could have been on the way back over they stamped it. either way, it took me like 30 seconds at customs (not including the waits/lineups from other people being there)

    Hey,
I had texted DisneyDreamer and asked her how stuff went with her she went thru Buffalo she said it cost 6$ for the stamp, she said I will have to go into the custom's building but that it wasn't bad and to have everything ready. They were at the boarder at 7am and it took 45mins to get thru. I found a website about delays and stuff you can watch the bridges on live feed... I know try to contain your excitment LOL... heres the link http://www.cbsa.gc.ca/general/times/menu-e.html

From what I've heard (and I live like 10 minutes from a border crossing), my parents are planning on being at the border for like 4 hours to get everything done - and that's at 4am! We're driving to Florida, and our border is dumb, so they're probably just going to try and wave me through, haha.

I am totally not counting on being waved thru but I dont need to be there CRAZY early I live like one hr from Buffalo boarder from what my dad says and my plane leaves at 7:25am so I'm thinkin like 3 or 3:30am is when I'm leaving

You will probbly have no problem. Like I said before. It is all random. And being the time of morning your going and such it could sirously go either way. But if you arrive and are all nervous you have a much bigger chance to be held up. Better to be early rather then late though. But I dont see you missing your flight if you plan to arrive at the airport 2 and a half hours before, and you give yourself 45 mins for the border (cause even if it is a wave though you can always hit a place for breakfest on the other side before you go... as we know air planes dont like to feed us too quickly anymore. LOL. :) )

    Someone's mama chiming in here.

If you're familiar with crossing the border, particularly in Ontario, then you know it can be a total crapshoot in the simplest circumstances. I have gotten across in 5 minutes, I have sat in the tunnel 200 yards from the end for 2 hours at 3 in the morning, and have been grilled at the customs booth for 30 minutes just going to catch a flight for vacation. There is simply no predictability.

Driving someone to catch a 7:30 a.m. flight I typically try to cross by 4:30. Last time, it was an hour-long wait at the border.

In your Disney info packet, it gives instructions for what to tell customs when you cross. I have heard from a couple of other parents of ICP participants encountering customs officers that didn't know what to do and it taking upwards of an hour to find someone who knew what to do with the I-94 card. And that was at Buffalo. Others, five minutes.

Leave yourself a little extra time. Personally, I'd rather be sitting around the airport for an extra hour or so than panicking because I'm held up at the border longer than I anticipated.

And our 4 a.m. departure time has as much to do with the fact that it's easier to leave in the middle of the night when you're doing 1100 miles in 30 or so hours. ;) Plus, with six people and a mountain of stuff in the car, you can bet we're going to get pulled in.
