Did anyone else get the letter from yummy about claiming us tax back after your year there. I was wondering if anyone else was thinking of using that company? Or is it quite easy to claim it back yourself after your year there? I've been trying for years to get my head around our tax system, I don't think I'd stand a chance at understanding the US tax system
did they say they give you a quote before actually doing any of it...? i'm considering trying to get on it without their help (but with my parents help, of course) and then give up and use them later if necessary.
The ICPs got that letter too - apparently there are companies that will do it for free, rather than that one which will charge us xx
I'm probably look into it towards the end of the program. I'm not too fussed if it's going to be a load of hassle
Yeh i was thinking of signing up to them and if the quote wasn't good then claiming it back myself. but i was wondering if signing over to them meant only they had control of your taxes. it sounds like there is a lot of fine print to be read here :
i did notice the forms mentioned a power of attorney if i remember correctly...not something you want to sign lightly for sure!
