Evening, Random question - anyone know if there's a Batphone style number for booking your appointment rather than the £1.20/min line? I'm heading out at the end of Jan, anyone likely to be flying from London 29th Jan - 1st Feb?
I'm heading out 1st Feb and just made my call to the embassy today. You've got to call the expensive line unfortunately, no ways round that, but the woman I spoke to on the other end was very friendly and helpful - I suspect another number might not be set up to correctly deal with taking payments/details etc.

Hey David, Hey Brerjon...Hope you're both well. I wanted to ask how your Embassy appointment went, if you've already had it? More specifically, were you allowed to take in your phone? were they super strict about it? I don't see how I can go up to London without a mobile & noone to hold it for me while I'm being interviewed!
Hey. Yes they are super strict - it's proper airport style security with zero exceptions. Even saw one guy have to throw away a pair of headphones he had with him. There's 2 Chemists near the Embassy where you can securely leave your stuff - for a price.
