;Dhola cousins!!!! 8) Anybody had there interview at the US Embassy yet??any advice, what happens when ur there ??? ??? thanx natxxxxx
OK well its not really an interview. I did mine with 5 other people who were all IPs and it was simple. They check your details on your passport. Ask you really silly questions about the information on the form, for example they asked what type of job I did as I had down that I was a statistician and they asked about the year I spent in North Carolina but it wasn't any specific information it was just a random chat while he processed the forms. They just need to see you to compare you to your passport. nothing at all to worry about. You'll spend longer waiting to be seen than actually talking to anyone.
Be prepared for a long wait is all Ill say!!! Luckily when I went for my Visa interview I went with a couple of other IP types!! We were waiting in a queue outside the embassy for two and a half hours and then waiting inside for a furtehr three or so!!! You have to wait twice when youre inside!! First you see someone and just hand over all your documents to them - we waited about an hour for this and then you have to sit back down again and wait even longer - baout two hours for us - while they go over all your info then get called to another window for your 'interview'! Basically the guy just asked me a couple of questions about my job now and what Ill be doing in the US - although this info was all on the form i filled out!! Then they scan your fingerprints and tell you your visa has been approved. Its nothing to worry about but it can be a long day!!! Michelle xx
Hey Gals and Guys, I got an email from my recruiter today. I have to go to the embassy at 8 am , on March 8th. It hope it doesn't take too long. Is because rite after getting the Visa I have got to call the International Office for them to tell me my flight arrangements. I am so excited!!!!!!!!!! Rite now everything is materializing!!! 10 long waiting months are paying off!!! See ya Robb ;D
