Is anyone planning on getting a season's pass at Universal Studios? Or did anyone get one while down there already?

I hear alot of people spend days at Universal and Islands of Adventure while working at Disney (a chance to go to a new theme park). I am coming down a few days early and was going to go there for a day and was wondering if I should just buy a year pass, it would be cheaper if i plan on coming again.

Plus, I know they have some amazing rides... "Dueling Dragons" for example.

I'm not 100% sure but I think I heard a years pass at Universal is about the same as 3 days admission, so if you think you'll be going 3 times or more a years pass would be worth it

I am so getting a Universal annual pass, and maybe even a sea world one. It will work out so much cheaper then buying a day pass everytime you go

  4. Yeah, I'd say go for it, if it's the price that Jorden was saying (which I think I remember reading also)

Does anyone know if you could sell it on after you've used it? As i'll only be there for three months in the summer.

Or is it like someone of the disney ones where they take your finger prints/ space between your three fingers (or something like that) so that only you can use it?

    hey guys
i have been to florida last summer for 3 weeks and I bought an annual pass at unsiversal because it was cheaper and you are so flexibel because you can go whenever you want to.
i have not found them yet to look if there is a photo on it or a finger print of you storn up. but I know that there is one of these oportunities, so that nobody can sell them afterwards. otherwise Unisversal would make a great financial loss.
so, i am sorry but you cannot sell it to anybody else afterwards, but i think you will save a lot of money by buying an annual pass.

    Greetings Mimi

Get the annual pass! It's worth it! I got one and went like maybe 9-10 times when I was there for my year. The trolly at the mall across from the Commons goes there(and Seaworld). Its a bit of a ride and then a walk over there from the stop, or if you go with a group of people you can split a cab. My pass was about 120$ and my Seaworld pass was 36$ I think(the same price as a one day pass!!)

Also! I highly recommend going to Universals 'Halloween Horror Nights' It was
FANTASTIC! I bought the horror pass and went 4 times!!! Best best best times ever!

If you go more than three times, an annual pass is the best value. A three-day pass is only slightly cheaper, so you might as well go for the whole thing if you're likely to be there for a year. If your there for a whole summer, three times might well be enough.

Annual passes are not transferable, to whoever asked.

Your picture is on your annual pass and one of my friends has a "pilot" thumbprint pass.

That being said, sometimes people "share" their annual pass with others! (Provided you at least look somewhat like the person in the picture.)

For the people who had/are getting Universal passes are the black out days on times when you would want to be there for the cheap pass... in other words is the Premium pass for 180 worth it over the normal 120 pass that has black outs?

When I was there, most folks got the Power Pass or whatever it was called; the one with the blackouts basically. I only knew one person with the more expensive one. Handy for parking. ;D

The blackouts are holidays etc. Great (but busy) time to go there but alas, it will also be blackout dates for Disney too. So guess what? You'll probably, make that definately, be working.

Bear in mind that I am the co-founder of the disney Dorks ;D and a major themepark junkie, but believe me, after a busy week at work, the last thing you're going to want to do is negotiate crowds at any other themepark. Hence, in my opinion, the blackout dates would probably be blackout dates for CMs anyway.

In short, go for the cheaper option. :D

IOA has some great coasters - the Hulk is the BEST! ;D
