HEy everyone, im so excited because its been nearly a week since i sent my application so only another 8 weeks left of waiting at the most ;D i was just seeing if i could find anyone else from the UK who have just sent their applications off or who are going to be sending them off soon. isn't it so exciting? hope to hear from you all soon ;D
Hey!! I sent my application 2weeks ago. Its my second time applying had phone interview but completly messed it up so second time lucky. Last time they took me by surprise and i'd heard i would be having an interview and actually had it within the 8weeks!! Tan x x
oh no, thats awful. well i hope it goes so much better this time round, maybe we'll end up working together? wat kinds of things are you asked in the interview??? im so nervous about it, and i dont want to go blank when they phone? do they tell you when they will phone????
Dont worry can answer ya questions!! They will generally just ring you out of the blue (but will ask if its ok to chat now, if not then they are more than happy to plan a time to ring within the next few days) This was were i went wrong! I ended up being flustered and had no little notes with me. So im def gonna arrange a time with them. Where are you from? Its good to do a lil bit of research of your hometown or somewhere nearby. Im from Cardiff and they asked me "What would i tell another disney rep (from another country) is best about my country" So i mentioned a few traditions and facts about Wales and cardiff. They also asked: What present would i bring to another disney rep that represents my country? How would i cope in a situation where i was the only person serving customers and they were complaining about waiting a long period for food? How would i cope living with other people who are from completly different cultures and have different traditions to yourself? Its a very informal interview, just remember to relax (they know ya nervous) and smile lots on the phone (sounds strange but the guys that are off to disney swear by it!!) Wow, everything is so scary but exciting!!! disney emailed me to say they recieved my application and they were happy, and they will be in touch in aughust to arrange a phone interview. argghhh im so nervous, but roll on aughust i say!!!

oh wow, good luck, yeah i hope the time goes so quickly, but im so scared about messing up my interviews because it is so competitive. but i hope you do well.
So how many UK people do we have for the November interviews this time round? Does anyone know the number of positions available? Or the answer to life the universe and everything?
Ooohh I just got an email from yummy jobs saying i got through to the fone interview - argh roll on august!!!! im on holiday in states in august tho for 2 1/2 weeks should i email them now to let them now the dates i wont be avilable for interview or wait til nearer the time? e
When I got through to the phone interview stage, they emailed me asking the best times to get in contact with me! So i knew exactly when they were calling, which was nice! But maybe you should contact them first to let them know about your hol? I personally wasnt that worried about my phone interview, there was a really nice guy on the phone who was easy to chat too. And the face to face one was really short, I swear it only lasted 5-10 minutes! On both interview they asked me if I like to travel, answer yes to that one folks! I babbled on about all the countries ive visited etc etc! Must've worked cos I got the job and am heading out in a couple of weeks! but yeah dont be nervous! just be happy (and smiley for the face to face), they really put you at ease and the recruiters are so easy to talk to, so it's easy to be yourself, which is what they want!
