Hi guys! I am considering applying for the international college program next year as technically i'll be on a "sandwich" work experience year away from uni and I was just wondering what information requires to be taken to our appointments? Due we need proof that we are in higher education as per the letters yummy jobs sent me? Do we need referees or medical clearance or criminal checks? Just wondering as I applied for a canadian work visa when I was 19 to work on the slopes in the rockies and I didn't really need to bring anything along!
Hey! I'm doing the ICP this summer- are you talking about the summer one or the 6 month/year long one?? Anyway when i went for my visa we were told to take proof that you were returning to University but i wasn't asked for anything. However Disney do require letters from your University/College specifying exactly what you are doing and when you are due to return. And yes you do need to get criminal checks- which you pay for yourself grrrrr!! but i didn't need to get medical checks. As i say this info is for the summer program so don't know if it'll be different for the other ones. Hope it helps anyways Elaine xx
Hi Elaine! Ideally I am after the cultural rep 6 month one as I will be back at uni in September 2007 after I finished my sandwich year so I will not be able to do the full 12 month one. I am just awaiting a response from Alexis to see if there if any way of shortening the contract. The international college program is the backup just in case. I was supposed to go out on June 25th 2006 however I was on my hols to Austrailia during the March interviews and basically I'm too poor at the moment to risk not having a job to go back to this september! Trying to explain to my employer that I need 3 months off during the summer didn't go down well! Hope everything goes well over there - and over in Orlando for 2 weeks in July so if you want to meet up for a bevvie i'll PM you my mobile!
