UK Newbies

Hi Guys!

All is going great over her. Work has it's good and bad points but it is so worth doing the programme for the experience. It's only been two months so far and I have had an amazing time.

Just wondering who will be joining us in september? How many merchies are there on here coming over soon? I think there might be lots starting so taht means that we wont be that busy, especially in Sept.

Man, I wish I knew what time we were arriving so we'd be able to plan our arrival day better. Guess we'll have to wait for the visa info to come through and be confirmed until we get told though.

Hey, how long is the drive from the airport to the complex approximately? and what formal stuff do we have to do before we can go to our apartments? (just want to know approximately how long it will take to get the 'offical' stuff out the way before we have the rest if the day to ourselves.

Yeah, don't plan to do a thing...nothing will go right!!

I arrived alone and thought the next bunch would be here about 8pm.....they never got here til midnight!! chaos reigns in the first week!!

The first 4-5 days are absolute madness....apart from when they say you'll have time to go to Walmart, you seriously will have no time to yourself except in the evenings....you won't get your Disney ID until the Saturday (if it goes the same as us) and so can't get in the parks til then (unless you're willing to pay...but what would be the point!?)

I need to speak to people about your arrivals....I haven't heard anyone talk about them yet so want to know who's around to greet you off the bus, and where throw-ins are etc.......Can't wait to see you all here...finally we won't be the newbies anymore! haha!!

Food and bev. 6th sept aka D-Day!!

 

Hey lads and lasses!

Sorry to just come barging here as a total newby, but thought I'd say hey to my future fellow cast members!

My name's Barry and I'm coming out to UK f&b on the 13 sept! I was on these forums a couple of months back, but then final exams in uni and being away working over this summer kinda got in the way with keeping up to date.

Am pretty darn excited about getting to Orlando, but also pretty nervous what with it being a whole year and in a different continent, but I reckon life's a bit more interesting and exciting when you're getting stuck into new things.

My visa interview and everything's going to be a bit interesting...I'm working this week and couldn't get to London, so my visa interview is actually on the 30th August, a mere two weeks before I take off! Yummy said this should be ok...but it'll probably mean I'll get all of a day to get organised as I understand Disney don't release flight details until your visa is sorted?!?!

If anyone's flying from Manchester let me know...I'm from Liverpool myself so hopefully we'll be sharing a flight! Really, really excited for meeting you all once I get out there...even from my quick skimming of the forums everyone seems like a lovely bunch, and I can't wait 'til we're on our first cast night out!

Thank goodness for that- I told these guys that there was someone called Barry who I thought was flying from manc on the 13th- but began to think you must have been a figment of my imagination (esp when I partly got you confused with another guy leaving on the 13th!) Good to hear from you again- see you in a little over 3 weeks!
