Uk merch people!!!

hey everyone, im goin out on 18th aug 2009 for uk merch crp, but so far everyone else i know goin in 09 is in f&b. is there anyone on here who is also merch?? xxx

I've been put on the waiting list - I thought it was because of choosing Merch.. Was it your first choice?
Then I thought maybe its cos I can't go til August... but you are, so I'm confused! Were you only available from August?

hey, um yeah merch was my first choice and yes i was only available from august as i dont graduate uni untill july. i have no idea as to why u were put on waiting list, maybe merch was filled already but they wouldnt have wanted u in f&b. i really dunno. but i think the reason i got merch was coz ive worked there already as an icp in world of disney store, which is their biggest n one of the busiest stores they have.

and sarah-lou, im so glad someone else is in merch lol, although by the time i get there u will be well settled in. u must be well excited by now??

Ooh I'm a bit late to this one....but yes I'm merch too!!! June 23rd it was my first choice so I'm really glad I got it - i was a waitress for one evening (literally) and I was NOT GOOD at it! Who knew a tray of drinks could be so heavy?
Anyway, congrats on u all for getting in ........I'm sure there must be more though...

I'm Canadian Merch... and there are only a few of us on here too. Beth that is the exact same reason why I didn't want f&b, it would have been horrible

 

wow i cannot believe theyve already got people in uk merch for june and july, congrats guyz! ive been on the program for nearly 4 months, just got Trainer aswell so i may be training u guyz before i leave in july lol

Aw wow that would be amazing, you might be training me! - so how is it in merch then?! Do you just get assigned to one specific shop or do you get moved around?

The programs great. loving every moment!
we rotate at different shops which is great coz u wont get bored, plus our shifts are only 6,8 or 10 hour shifts. for a 6 hour shift u get a 30 min break, 8 hours u get a 45 and 15 min break. for a 10 hour shift u get a 15,30, and 45 min break! unlike f&b wer they get 1 break! lol sucks to be them lmao

Ooooh that's really great to know as i'm going to be a Merch person next year! I'm going on June 23rd, so glad i put that as my first choice

 

id probably get a repremand by then so theyll take d trainer title off me lol

I just saw a few of you are going to WDW to do the CRP. I just want to say congrats and you'll have an amazing time! my sister did it a couple of years ago and she had the best time ever! you'll all love it.
I'm still waiting for my interview to do the ICP next summer, getting a bit nervous now!

I'm in merch leaving from Scotland, but not starting till 26th May...
