ok first of all don't expect to get into service straight away, it will take you at least 4-6 months sometimes more, and yes there is a test, you will have to be able to quote the menus, lunch, dinner and desert, and also know the content of the food and what it tastes like, you have food samples through the training, and finally on the fifth day of service training you will have to serve your trainer, dont worry thiugh no one has failed yet, at least not in my time out here.
Hey John!!!! didnt know you were a board geek!!!!!!! Johns right, dont worry about the service test, its not that hard!! If you wanna be a bartender then thats a bit harder, ou have to know loads of cocktails and all sorts of stuff!! People do fail this test and like ohn said noones failed the service one - just make sure you know your menus and youll be fine!!
