UK December 6th People - VISAS!!!!

Hi guys!

Just wondering if any of you got the email of Alexis today about our visas?

On the instructions it said to ring to schedule an appointment - can we do this straight away or do we have to wait till we get our package through the post?

Is anyone up for meeting in London if our appointments are around the same time? Iim gonna try to spen a few days down there to do some christmas shopping.

I'm all up for meeting in London - maybe we could all go out for lunch or something??

That would be great Davina. Ive been to the embassy before and I know there's a few places to eat around there. Thee's definately a Debenhams with a Cafe at least.

Have you any idea how many of us there are from the UK?I'm sure someone mentioned there are 12 of us but that was in March and maybe some people have dropped out.

Izzy I have just sent you a email to ask the same thing, do we ring now or wait till we got the other stuff through the post? I think we should do it now coz it did say 'phone to book your visa appointment immediately'

I'm up for meeting you guys, I'm bringing my cousin with me keep my company on the long train journey and I've got to fit in meeting upp with a few mates down there - so looks like its should be a busy day lol.

ok PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have just rang the number to make an appointment, I thought the earlier I call the earlier I would get and appointment, but the number on the email is Wrong!!!!!!!!!

Is this the same number everyone else in the U.K has: 09055444546???????
or am I havin a blonde day??

I have called the embassy and I have an appointment on the 2nd nov at 12.45
so it looks like I will be getting a train which gets me into kings cross at 09.56am
so early start for me then :

Helen Im going to ring the Embassy first thing tomorrow to get an appointment so Ill let you know what date and time they give me. Hopefully it will be the same day!

Hey all the 6th Dec ppl

After a lot of phone calls to find out train times and cost I decided to fly to London ;D

The train that I would need to get is a 'business mans' peak time so it would cost me almost £200!!!!!!! then I started to panic
So I checked easyjet flights from newcastle to stansted which is great for me and it was only £36 return ;D so im flying. Mam and dad have also booked so they can go xmas shopping.

Am gonna phone the embassy tomorrow morning, so will do my best, to get the same day, so we can all meet up.

It will make the extreemly long waiting time pass alot quicker if we've all got each other!!!

Did you guys get asked if you had your I-797 as when I rang to make my appointment I was told that I couldn't make an appointment if I didn't have it!

 

Hey Izzy, yeah I got asked that, I just said I will have it, coz I think It will be sent to us as it said on the email 'enclosed'

Well Ivew made my appointment although im not with you guys im affraid! Im on the 28th of october instead as the woman said there where no more appointments that day :

 

Ive just realised thats less than a week away! I dont think ill be spending much time at home as im on Brownie Pack holiday in Blackpool from this sunday coming to next wednesday!

That was the 1st date they gave me, but I'm having a weekend away with the girls (my best mates) in Leeds on 29oct so was a bit worried if somthing went wrong, so I asked if they had a later date.

Im a bit bummed that I cant meet up with you guys. I asked for the 2nd but had no luck! I suppose I could come down from manchester to do some shopping on the wednesay as it would only cost me £20 return on the train!


They dont really mind what you wear. Im just going smart/casual, probably with black pants and a jumper.

I have no idea who is leaving from the UK. As far as I know there's you two and me and also Katherine but I havent spoken to her in ages so i dont know if shes still going. Im gonna email her now and ask!

 

Well ive got myself a real bargin on the train!

Ive got a standard ticket on Virgin trains on friday morning, an off peak travel card, a return ticket on friday evening untill monday to brighton to see a friend and a first class return home on virgin with use of the first class lounge and free drinks and nibbles at Euston for under £50!

It would cost me a fortune if I didnt have a young persons railcard though!

I'm just gonna be wearing Jeans and a top - I had to go the the embassy last year for Camp America - and it really will be a 4 hour wait - so take a book or magazines!!!

Helen I txt u this morning, but just to let every1 else know that I don't think u can use mobiles inside the embassy, so will have to do all the meeting up arrangements b4 u go in!!!

Got the info from Yummy this morning - there is a list at the bottom of the Notice of Action page, with everyones names (I take it that is everyone going in December)

There's 9 from the UK going - 8 girls and 1 guy and I'm the baby of the group!!!!

I'm used to being one of the eldest, so that will make a change!!!!
