Hi guys! I just sent my CV off to yummy jobs for the cultural rep program for a start date of Febuary 2007 however I am off to start training with the police (my dream job) in September 2007! I reallly want to experience working in Disney and I was wondering if there are any opportunities to have a shorter term contract of say 6 months or is it a case of simply resigning when I am required to go back to the UK?

Hmm, you are going to struggle Im afraid., The Cultural rep programme is a year long and 'resigning' although an option isnt advisable. It would put disney in a bad position if you just walked out of a job, and it would be a bit unfair to accept a job you didnt intend to keep- because there are those out there whod love to have the opportunity to work there for the year.

There is a summer programme but thats only for students. Im afraid to say i dont think now is going to be the right time for you to apply. Id wait until you can commit a year to it- or youu'll end up regretting it for sure.

Sorry there isnt another option- good luck with the police :)

thanks gemma - I think it might be worth having a word with yummy jobs and seeing if there are opportunities for a shorter contract. I know some alumini have had opportunities for a 6 month program and i'll go from there. ???
