Hey all, So I am considering applying for cultural rep. Firstly does anyone know if the applications definately open in june. If they do I was wondering on average how long the process from application to being told if you are accepted (if successful obviously)? I am considering putting off my application for post graduate primary teaching for this, however am not prepared to hold my application back for that if the process takes too long and I am left with nothing if you get me? Any advice would be great. Thanks Rebecca x
I've heard that it could be august before the application process starts up again. For most of us its been an extremely long process, a couple people have been giving earlier dates but the majority of people that haven't been put on the opportunity list are going in October and December. The rest of us have to wait till the end of June to hear if/when we are going from January '13-June '13. If we go in June '13 then it will be 18months after we first applied! So if you apply this summer then you would be most likely to go in mid-late 2013.

I dont mind the long wait to go as i will still be doing my fourth year of uni until end of may 2013......it was just until you heard back about the job or the waiting list that concerns me more......so i know if i apply for post grad or not. Its so hard as i did the icp last summer and loved it, so i know how amazing working at disney is and how much i would love to go back. I think if it august for applications its possibly too late for me cause if i was unsuccessful i will not only have failed to get a job at disney but also ruined a possible chance at uni too x
I think from applying to finding out if you've got a date is about 3 months..but after three months you could be told to wait longer. Could you not apply for post grad and then defer for a year if you were given a date?
hey Stacy, I think I will apply for both and see what happens in term of being accepted for either. You can't defer for a year, but can just reapply. Only thing is I would need to take two years out as if i did end up in disney i couldnt attend interviews for post grad and may miss the start date. Its all so complicated when you love disney isn't it? hehe thanks xxx
I'm pretty much doing the same thing but with Uni, I've finally bitten the bullet and sent off applications to defer for a year, so if I don't get into Disney I can go next year, and if I do I'll just have to reject and reapply as I'd have to take 2 gap years!! Risky, but will be worth it if I get a place <3 Like you say, If our relationship with Disney were on Facebook, it would definitely be listed as "it's complicated" Good luck with applying and your final year of Uni!! xx
