Hey, Sorry i'am new to this site I have recently sent off my CV to yummy jobs and they replied saying they would get in touch september october time, i'm hoping to go over in 2008! anyway I'm interested in the International College Program - J-1 Academic Exchange but really worrid about the distance learning at their U.S. sponsoring university? do i have to get sponsored by a U.S university? or is there another option... the discription quite confused me... can i just work and then do Disney college programme coursework or do i have to do some kind of university work to? I would really apriciated it if you could help thanks loads! Adele xxx
I did the J1 Academic program last year. I think it's changed slightly, but my program consisted of paying uni fees to a US uni and also doing a bit of work for them (really easy assignments like 'what 10 things do you hope to achieve' and one long report at the end of the program). I think you have to be sponsored by a US uni so you can get credits for the Disney classes you take. It's all very complicated and I don't understand it all. I'm pretty sure you can also go to a uni over in the US for 6 months, and then work for Disney for 6 months, but I don't know how true that is so don't quote me on it!
