I've heard tat people in merchandise can end up working here, and that whatever it is it isnt very good. but what is it exactly? is it not something in any of the parks? is it like offices? i have no idea what it is apart from something to do with tickets. i think (!)

    Ticketing and Transportation Centre..

Its basically where all the buses go to drop people off for magic kingdom and i think also epcot, then you just get the monorail from there..

Also as you can tell by the title, you can buy tickets here etc..

I hardly really paid much attention to it to be honest, but thats what i saw of it..

TTC is the Transportation & Ticket Center i.e. the gateway to the Magic Kingdom. It's mostly ticketing booths (it's where I worked as a Vacation Planner) but there is a small merchandise outlet next to the bus terminal/group sales window. It sells some sweets, drinks, a small amount of soft toys and other merch, and that's about it. I wouldn't have said it was the most exciting merch job you can get as it is outside of the parks, but I wasn't working there (I was in the booths) so I couldn't tell you for definite :)

Ugh, I'm dreading seeing that down as my place of work... I think even the hotels would be more exciting :/

I just think tho, that its disney and surely any place will be exciting to work, maybe some won't be as exciting as others..But i'd of thought pretty much everywhere was really fun to work..

This is true, it's just not really what you expect at first I suppose. Ah well, guess you'd learn to love it in it's only little way... But even so, I can imagine myself being a little disappointed if I saw that down as my work area instead of one of the parks/ DTD or somewhere...

I hated the TTC at first, but I learnt to love it eventually. It may be the concrete jungle but every time I went on my break I saw the castle over the lake...and you get to see all the really overexcited kids. To them the TTC is Disney as much as the rest of it!! :)

My roomate worked at mickeys gift station (the TTC shop) and she had been accepted for operations and not merchandise. Not sure why. Anyway she didn't like it at first but she enjoyed it in the end. From what she said it seems that there are only a few people that work there so you get to know them better and the managers sounded nice and they gave them a lot more responsibility. Also she got to work in the kennels which are at the TTC too. So I really wouldn't worry about it.

I think from what jess has said im most likely guna be working at the TTC for my vacation planning! I wouldn't have thought there was as many positions at epcot or the other places as a vacation planner..Should be good tho, can't wait!

plus you get lots of guest contact with that job anyway, so I'm sure it'll be ace :D TTC suddenly doesn't sound so bad any more- kennels would be pretty cool! (Except I'm guessing you'd have to clear up their, um... excrement... not so magical ;))
