Hi everyone! I'm Ana a portuguese 23yo student who's set to arrive August 19th. I'm gonna be there thanks to the International College Program and I just wanted to know a few thing.s First, what's the mesure of the beds? (I don't know where I'm gonna be staying but I wanted to take my own sheets only I don't know what size to take.) Second, do we really have wireless internet in the Commons, Vista, etc? Third, TV, I know we don't have one but if we buy one do we have cable connection? Fourth, I still haven't choosen an insurance and just wanted to know what package you guys picked and how much it costed? And finally the weather. I'm gonna be there from August 19th 'till February 1st. I know it gets chilly but does it get cold or does it rain a lot? For now that's it (although I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have a lot more questions soon, LOL) I'm gonna be working in merchandising. Hope it's cool. XOXO Nikita 8)
Hi Nikita! Nice to meet you! I'm Scarlet from Mexico and I¡ll be arriving until October but i cant wait to go back hehe So let's see.. about ur questions.. I dont know the exact bed measurements.. but last year I took with me some individual-size sheets and were TOO BIG for my mattress.. I used those anywayz for the entire program hahaha i was gonna spend money on new ones so I just used those hehe About internet.. yup, there's wireless internet on all disney complexes now.. even Treehouses so you dont need to worry.. About TV, there are no TVs but you do have cable connection About insurance.. last year i used Gateway Plans... it was around 300usd for 6 months.. and i think i'll buy the same one this year And about the weather, well it depends.. where i come from it's very hot so for me October and November in Orlando was really chilli... they were around 10C/4C. Hope i could help you a bit!! See ya!
There is NO wireless internet in the complexes (save for maybe the treehouses since I've never been there)... you do have internet access but will need to supply your own wireless router or other such device.
Just a quick one about the internet, do I need to register with an ISP or can I just plug in and start surfing the net, only at the minute Im using someone elses router (and they do know about it) and I dont particularly want to register for an internet provider only to find that I dont need one. Cheers guys Chris
Nope it's just plug and go, they do have some bandwidth restrictions in place (mostly upload) to keep you from doing a lot of downloading. You can pay a fee to have that removed however.
