Hi Im sorry if this is a dumb question, but does anyone know how to transfer money from your US bank account to your normal one back home (UK for me)? just for bills to be paid etc etc, just dont want to return home to find everythings been reposessed!
I booked an appt at my bank as i have bills to pay as well. They told me to leave the money in there for the bills if possible. Some of the banks have links with the american ones so best bet go and speak to yours. They told me to get someone to put about£10 a month into account because i have a student overdraft and they might think id run off and not gonna pay it back and demand the money back in one go!! I think this has made sense?? Tan x x
ah that helps me out knowing that as i have a slight ( :-\) overdraft and would like to try and have it payed off by the time i return home !! hmm here's hoping neways!!
Paypal might also be a way to transfer funds between accounts, haven't actually done it yet but it should work.
just spoke to my bank and all i have to do is show a us bank the internation bank account no a few other details and its pretty straight forward, i do have a paypal account so i can use that if needs be, so fingers crossed i wont be banged up in jail when i return home!!
That sounds pretty straight forward!! Some banks also let you nominate someone to deal with ya account whilst your away. Tan x x
