Toronto/Montreal/Halifax Interviews 2005

Hello folks,

Well, the east interviews are just around the corner in this coming March. I'm always booked into the Toronto finals on March 9. Just wondering how many people on here right now who are going to either the interview with Eric or those who are going straight to the finals.

Are you apply for the Toronto interviews for a 2nd time? I believe I am going to reapply I am scheduled in but I may decide not to go.

Hey guys Im a little confused,

Can you explain to me the difference between the interview with Eric and the "finals" ??  I just assumed that there was the phone interview and then the presentation / face to face interviews. Is there more then that???

I attended the interviews in the fall in Calgary and unfortunatly didnt make it. I guess what happens is Eric decides based on your phone interview if you get to the finals, which is Disney. They have Disney employess who recruit, And they decide if you go to Disney or not.

I was worried for a second there! I have had my phone interviewand am going to the "Finals" on March 10th in montreal! Sorry to hear you didn't make it, maybe next time!

Yea just a little tip, make sure you are really out going in the interview. They look at your personality , more then anything. Good Luck!!

Yea I think I am going to go to Toronto havnt decided yet. But I am scheduled to be there.

First step that most people would take is the telephone interview or the face to fact interview with Eric. They do this to screen out people for the finals. Which in your case is Montreal in March. Just so there's no confusion, the only reason why I skip the face to face interview with Eric because I've been interviewed once by him already last year in Toronto, and met him again at the Vancouver interview finals.

Jordana, yep this is the second time I'm applyied for the Toronto interviews although I didn't made it into the finals the first time. I did the finals in Vancouver and now doing the finals for the second time. LOL

If I am understanding correctly you were at Vancouvers interviews this last fall. I was in the Calgary ones in the fall. I am not sure if I want to fly to Toronto or not because it is about $360.00 and I am scared I might get declined again. But I guess this is the risk I will have to take.

is there any other people who are going to the montreal interview???... i guess i would be supposed to attend to this one since im from quebec city!.. i dit not received news from eric yet and im starting to get very anxious :\ he did not respond to my latest e-mail.. argh this is hard on nerves!

Hey Jordana... glad to see that you are thinking about reapplying. My advice, just go for it. Remember, I spent the money to fly out to Calgary in the Fall and look where it got me. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with me getting accepted, but the fact that I flew to a different city for the interviews, I will assume, showed my enthusiasm. And... if you've never been here to Toronto... it's a good excuse to visit.

Yea Eric couldnt believe I wanted to travel that far to go to the interviews. But he was super helpful. So I have all the information about going now, its just making sure I am making the right decision. Yea I guess they would like at that as though you were really enthusied. Well, I think he more just making sure you want to go lol. Tons of people have done the flying thing before and I don't think Castaway likes that but in the end they always let applicants go to interview. lol Anyways, good luck

I imagine the majority of people that attend the interviews have to do a decent bit of travelling to actually get to the interviews! Makes sense: Canada = Big, Interviews = Infrequent, Applicants = Rather Keen! When I was in WDW last April I talked to a cast member who was in Italy when she found out about her interview (or perhaps acceptance, I can't remember exactly).

It's actually probably nice for the interviewers to be able to talk to someone about a different place other than the city in which the interview is being held assuming they'll ask you something about your hometown.

I believe someone mentioned it above somewhere, but it's a good excuse to go to Toronto for a few days and do some touring! Think of it as an investment too, the more you see of Canada the better you will be able to represent us down south! (Heh, this coming from me who has never actually been west of Toronto! :-\ )

Haha.... that was exactly what I was thinking when I went to Calgary in October. The worst that could've happened would've been that I didn't get a position. At least, I could say I'd finally been west of Toronto.

Well I havnt been to Toronto either so it would be fun to go and see. I have been many places in the US, but not Canada.

Montreal March 10th!!!!! Im very excited because I am using the interview as an excuse to take a weekend off work and go visit my friend at school there! Yay mini vacation! who else is going???
