    Hello,

I'm a bit bored and I'm trying to distract myself from constantly checking my mail, to see if I've had a phone interview, so thought I'd start a new thread.

Just wondering what is your top three favourite places to eat, in Disney?

The Crystal Palace - Magic Kingdom
Cinderella's Royal Table - Magic Kingdom
Backlot Express - MGM Studios (As I still always call it!!) / Hollywood Studios. Remember eating there back in 1991, as a kid so will always be a personal favourite of mine.

I'm not sure how I can possibly have a top three...there's probably so many more that I love!

    1. Sanaa at DAK Kidani Village. If you want Indian food, then I suggest you go here. Best food ever!

    2. Le Cellier. Mmmmm cheddar cheese soup.

    3. Hollywood Brown Derby, DHS. Best deserts ever. And the rest of the food is awesome lol.

If you ever get a chance to, dine at Victoria and Alberts at the Grand Floridian. Yes, very expensive, but the service is out of this world, and the food is to die for. Also, depending on a) whether you're a CM or not, and b) what time you go, you can get CM discount!

    So many to choose from...but...

My favourite restaurant for fine dining has to be The California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Such amazing views over Seven Seas Lagoon, great view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks and the best food and wine. I had Ostrich there once, and loved it!

My favourite restaurant for relaxation and a more casual occasion has to be the Turf Club at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa. It's low key, you can always get in without a reservation and they have a delicious Salmon Salad too.

For Breakfast and Lunch I love the Kona Cafe. Lovely setting within Disney's Polynesian Resort, and they have amazing fish tacos! Try them!

I could go on forever! :p

Depends on what experience you want and what your budget is really. Though I wouldnt suggest heading to Victoria and Alberts as soon as you have a cool 200-300 to drop on a meal I wouldnt head over to Mama Melrose either (Sorry Disney_Geek but that food was awful everytime I went)

I am bias in my first choice because I worked in the restaurant by Le cellier is a must. Theres a reason it floats between number 1 and 2 on Disney Property and is considered a top 10 for Orlando as a whole. ITS FANTASTIC.

Sanna is always a fantastic choice. The service can be pretty suspect but the food is soo dang good it doesnt matter.

One place I had a soft spot for for some reason was Pizza Planet its just dough and sauce but damm was it good!

Eat at as many places as possible, discounts really help make some places more resonable :).

I think I cooked maybe 2 meals once I was a server and came into some cash (to be fair I was cooked for a fair bit..) but we went out A LOT!

Go to Victoria & Albert's. Yes it's insanely expensive, but if you're a server (even if you're not) you'll truly appreciate the service, it's incredible! Also being vegetarian you never get the option of a 7 course vegetarian meal - and it is all beautifully displayed and tastes amazing. Not to mention it's fun to dress up fancy, go out for a nice meal, free valet, roses for the ladies, shawls if you're cold, a harpist in the corner, they escort you to the washroom and place a fresh napkin on your lap every time you get up. And get the wine pairings! It's an experience in luxury.

    For more regular dining...
I liked Tony's Town Square in MK, the pistachio crème brulee is unreal.
Ohana's has an amazing vegetarian meal they bring out which tastes good, looks good and is huge! Plus the atmosphere is nice, especially when you time it to the fireworks.
I liked eating in Germany as well. The atmosphere is so cute, the band is fun, meeting random people at your table is great and clinking beer mugs while singing is what life is all about :)

It's funny it's almost easier to think of restaurants that weren't good experiences... mainly Yachtman's Steakhouse and kouzzina by Cat Cora. Both times it was the service that was absolutely horrifying. At Kouzzina my friend asked for coffee and the server said that the guy whose number it was to clean it wanted to leave so had already cleaned it so she couldn't have coffee..so then she asked for tea and the server said that the hot water was part of the coffee machine and was turned off. We all know that's a lie because she then heard us complain about disney standards and she came back with a pot of hot water :p Also going to have to put it out there... Brown Derby - not so impressed.
The Yak and Yeti is good too!! and Sanaa!

Off site...Capital Grill and Cafe Tu Tu Tango!!!

I've only been to two or three of the full service restaurants at WDW, despite having been there 12 times! They all seem a bit too expensive and the ones I've been to haven't seemed worth it. But if I get onto the CRP, I feel like I should give some more a try, because you guys are definitely selling them to me!

missish at xmas time u get a discount book and u get 50% off certain places to go eat - also the coupons good for your entire party so if you have 6 of you thats 6 restaurants at 50% off which is a total bargain :D

have to say love most disney restaurants but had really poor service at kona cafe at polynesian when i was there in may server didnt want to know clearly thought 2 brits on ddp and made no effort whatsoever - had to ask her to describe one of the menu items cos my mates a fussy eater and she just read back exactly what the menu said - really poor - she was practically bending over backwards for an obnoxious american family though (loud, rude, very demanding) prob cvos she thought they would be the better tippers. after we paid and tipped she suddenly became a lot more friendly ack shame cos the food was actually really good there
