heya jslussier, i had an interview with yummy jobs in ther UK in Oct, i wore a suit and jacket and brought all the things they asked (passport, photocopies etc) and also a wee notepad to take notes (altho i got so swept up in it all i totally forgot) question wise they didnt really ask much in relation to jobs but they did ask whats your favourite disney character and why :) honestly its nothing to worry about (i know its easy for me to say now ive done it all), more like a friendly chat than anything else. the best piece of advice i got before my interview was SMILE the real 'test' part was the phone interview the f2f is just seeing how you react with new folk :) hope this helps and makes some sort of sense x

be friendly and chatty to everyone, smile, shake hands with the interviewer (at the start and end), and again be chatty with the interviewer and make sure you seem interested in everything they say...also, i read on here somewhere to have a question for the interviewer e.g. mine was "is there anything you would like me to change to comply with the disney look guidelines?"...i think that just shows that you've done a bit of a research and shows you intend on getting in etc

as for questions, i prepared for the list on here, and that more than covered me

    hope that helps :) x

There's homestly nothing to worry abiut. I was having kittens at my interview and 5 minutes after being called in, i was out again.

Hardest question like already said is which is your favouite disney character. I sais Bert from Marry Poppins. Seemed to get down well with Roger who was interviewing me.

Don't worry, be yourself and you'll be fine

Yeah I know! Mine is actually Sebastian, but I couldn't think why! ??? So I said a toss up between Seb and Mulan (because Mulan is brave, loyal and wasn't afraid to go against what other people said to protect the ones she loved... I thought afterwards that this might make me look like a rule-breaker! But I got the job so apparently it didn't come across like that... thankfully!!)

Everyone who posted said mainly what I was going to say lol
Helen mentioned something that was definitely true though- I'm sure you'll think of questions before your f2f to ask them in the one-on-one, and get there only to have most of your questions answered in the presentation!
I asked if there was any opportunity to apply for other positions when your program comes to a close, if you want to stay within the Disney family.
I don't even remember what I said for the character... maybe Mickey, since I do have him tattooed to me. Probably that, and also I looove Tinkerbell.

Keep in mind that you are applying to be a cast member, not an employee. The f2f is not so much an interview, more like an audition for a role in a giant show. They don't ask you much about your previous jobs, it's more about personality, and whether yours would be a good addition to their show.

i had a mental blip and went for donald because he was irrational and funny...but then remembered i had prepared to answer for simba - he's gone through some tough times, and did what many of us would have done and ran away, but then came back, and still didn't lower himself to scar's level...i said something like that!

I said Belle, because she's such a free spirit and can't wait to get out her town to see the world and have adventures. Also because she gets a fantastic castle at the end of the film. Obv very important.

thx all...I still don't know who's my favorite character...As long as I don't said Shrek or Spiderman I should be alright ... I think it's gonna be Timon cause he is, at the same time, very funny, courageous and smart!

My brother thought of such a funny answer - Jiminy Cricket because he's so small but still makes it in the big world.
I think he ended up saying Genie though, because he's blue and that's his favorite colour, lol

I was really sad when I didn't get this question. But I was near the end of the day and they probably just wanted to finish. I had a hard time figuring out who I was going to say (since I planned for this question) and I had finally decided on Koda, similar to Jiminy Cricket becuase he is so small but he is able to make a big impact on Kenai. Plus he is so cute and cuddely!

I was interviewed by Jennifer, one of the attractions managers who came up for the interviews and said she is going to be ate ones in vancouver in the spring as well i think. She never asked what our favourite characters were. I was sad after sitting with amanda and jaime figuring it out. haha. The thing that threw me off the most about the interviews was that they were mainly done in twos. I'd never been in a joint interview before and i didn't know if i was suppose to pretend not to listen to his answers, or look at him or jennifer and probably looked kind of silly because i did a combination of all of them while worrying that my answers weren't as good as his or that he would take me answer to a question. It worked out well in the end though.
She barely asked anything about Canada, she asked about our food & beverage history as we both wanted to do that, where we had travelled, if we could speak different languages and of course why we wanted to work there.
When i was preparing I found it helpful to read some all ready in cast members blogs about the day of their interviews. Jenn's is really good, if you go http://jenn-at-disney.blogspot.com/ there are a bunch of others too, i wrote about the day in mine as well.
