Hey, just saw this trailer for a straight to video tinkerbell movie-- anyone know anything about this?? I don't know how I feel about it. I think it could have been done as a feature length live action movie with way more success than this will have! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAEjCwCHars
Yeah I agree, it could have totally been Live Action. But consider this, Disney only has "straight to video" releases if the movie sucks. If Disney wanted to put out a feature length film they could have. Honestly, can you think of any GOOD straight to video Disney movies that exist? I can't...and if you can you need a good explanation.
The direct-to-video films were created by DisneyToon Studios and Walt Disney Television Animation. * The Return of Jafar (1994) * Gargoyles the Movie: The Heroes Awaken (1995) * Aladdin and the King of Thieves (1996) * Mighty Ducks the Movie: The First Face-Off (1997) * Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin (1997) * Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas (1997) * Belle's Magical World (1998) * Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World (1998) * The Lion King II: Simba's Pride (1998) * Hercules: Zero to Hero (1998) * Winnie the Pooh: Seasons of Giving (1999) * Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas (1999) * An Extremely Goofy Movie (2000) * Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins (2000) * The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea (2000) * Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure (2001) * Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse (2001) * Recess Christmas: Miracle on Third Street (2001) * Cinderella II: Dreams Come True (2002) * The Hunchback of Notre Dame II (2002) * Tarzan & Jane (2002) * Mickey's House of Villains (2002) * Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year (2002) * 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure (2003) * Atlantis: Milo's Return (2003) * Stitch! The Movie (2003) * Recess: Taking the Fifth Grade (2003) * Recess: All Growed Down (2003) * The Lion King 1½ (2004) * Winnie the Pooh: Springtime with Roo (2004) * Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers (2004) * Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas (2004) * Mulan II (2005) * Tarzan II (2005) * Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch (2005) * Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie (2005) * Kronk's New Groove (2005) * Leroy & Stitch (2006) * Brother Bear 2 (2006) * Bambi II (2006) * The Fox and the Hound 2 (2006) * Cinderella III: A Twist in Time (2007) Upcoming: * Tinker Bell (2008) * The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning (2008) TWO..That's all I can agree with.
I also enjoy Pocahontas II... but I agree most of the others aren't as good as classic Disney movies.
Yeah sequels are never as good. I did really like the Lion King 2 and Pochahontas 2 (did anyone else really want her to end up with John Smith?? NOT John Rolf haha)
I really liked Beauty and the Beast: An Enchanted Christmas and Cinderella III (mainly because it was based on Twice Charmed on the Disney Magic and the songs are so familiar). I thought Cinderella 2 sucked (but is the only one I have on DVD :-\ I do heart the songs though!) I want to own every single Disney DVD... just because I can!
is this the film this the one britney murphey will play? i thought they were making a full length feature film
