I've had a read through everything on the website, and this genuinely sounds like something I'd love to do. I love Florida, I've been there several times on holiday, and the Disney Resort has always been one of my favourite places to visit. I've got myself all ready to apply through YummyJobs.com, but there's just a few things (I'm probably being really dumb in parts) I'd like to clarify if I may. I'm from the UK, as you may have already guessed. I'm at a Sixth Form college at the moment, with no intention of going to Uni just yet, but before I settle down I'd like to do a bit of travelling, whether it is just a few months or throughout the year. For this reason I guess I'd need to apply to the CRP rather than the ICR? There's also the travel aspect of it. I don't drive as of yet, so is it going to be a public transport jobby or is there some form of pick up service or the possibility of a car share? (I told you I was going to sound dumb!) Also, a little help with my CV would be great! I have no idea what to write that would make me sound like a good candidate for this (probably not off to the best start here...) so if you guys have any hints or tips as to what to put in to make me sound extra amazing, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks guys.
Because you arn't at uni, or going to uni then the only option as far as i know would be to apply for the CRP. As you are from the UK, you will have the choice of working in Food and beverage, or Merchanidse working at the UK pavillion at Epcot for 12 months. You need to be 18 to apply, or at least 18 by the time the interviews come round which tend to be March/November time, so you could send you CV off now and be in with a chance of attending the March interviews. I think if you get in then you will be leaving sometime between august and febuary. And transport is provided for you in the form of busses to and from the housing complexes and most places on Disney property, so you wouldn't have to drive!
Just had an email from Michele at YummyJobs. Apparently they couldn't open my CV wordx file on their computers. Blasted Windows Vista! I knew it'd cause me problems! Just sent off another version in .doc format, hopefully that'll work. Ooooh, I'm getting rather excited now. Haha. Had a chat with my Mum last night about the CRP. She said she thought it was a wonderful idea but how would I cope with homesickness etc. I've been on holiday away from family before for a few weeks, but obviously a year apart is a whole different ball game. Any of the Alumni have any tips as to how to cope with a year away from home?
hmmm well i was out for three months and was fine, i suppose when you have a bunch of close friends you should be fine, around christmas might awkward though...
Hi guys! I’m thinking of applying for CRP and I’ve read some of the threads in Applicants FAQ and Disney’s webbie. And I think I need some suggestions here ^^ 1. Should I send in the application I d/l from How to Apply instead of my Cover Letter+CV? Coz I read in some threads there are ppl who sent their CVs.. 2. If I should send my CV+Cover Letter, can I include picture and add some design in it or plain's better? Well, I’m Asian and it’s common here sending in CV with picture in it, but from what I read, for American CV style we don’t have to include picture.. 3. Am I late if I’m sending in the application form/CV on February 2008? 4. Which one better? Email or Fax? 5. Thank you so much for your assistance ^^
Hi! I'll try to answer for you. 1. This form was something they sent us in the mail after we applied, so I don't think it's necessary to send it with your application, but you can choose if you want to yourself. 2. It depends on where the company your applying thorugh is I guess. If you have to apply to the office in america, just keep it plain. I don't think they have pictures in the CV, just send the picture as an attachment. 3. Well, it depends on which program you're applying to and when you want to go, but it never hurts to send it anyway, you never know 4. I think either one would work fine. Both ways are fast ways to get it there. 5. You're very welcome, we're always happy to help

Hehe, that's okay I'm from Norway and yes I'm in the application process. But I've been on the program already but want to go back
Of course I loved it! They're not lying when they say it's an experience of a lifetime ;D My picture under my name is from the last day when I worked there the last time ;D
