The Who's out thread.

Hi, I've started this thread to see who has been rejected this time round as I think there is a bit of a confusion who's in and who's out. At the moment I'm still waiting on an awnser from yummy jobs despite being in the London November 8th CR interview. I presume the outcome looks grim, but I will be re-applying (if) as soon as I get confirmation. There has been rumours flying around that there won't be any more interviews until november next year which will make it FEB 08 before anyone leaves. WOW that seems such a long way away!

Which interview were you in? and will you be re-applying?

im in same boat as you stckers i still havent heard anything i was also at the london interviews. i will reapply if i dont get in but i really want to know either way not knowing is driving me nuts and its kinda harsh that we have to wait so long for this now!

 

I didnt get through this time but I will be re-applying again. One knockback is not gonna stop me from my dream.

 

okay i have heard from disney and i think i have been waitlisted ??? this is what the email said :

pinkspider...just a wee reminder, that about 4 of my mates who were waitlisted last year are all out there now! dont give up hope x

 

the problem with being waitlisted is your not guaranted to go out there and you cant plan for anything. its better than a no but not as good as a yes.

Rejected, gutted, devestated are feelings I've got now :'(

I got the same BS automated email as you pinkspider, I very much doubt that we'll be offered anything this time round. I'm starting to think is it really worth waiting another year for and has anyone on hear actually got in on a second interview?

stockers, you havn't been rejected you've been waitlisted. As princessjilly said you can still get accepted after being waitlisted. i also know of people who have got thru on a 2nd interview.

 

If thats the case I think I kind of would rather of been rejected lol at least then I knew I wouldn't be waiting around for nothing.

To Anyone who has been in the same situation before: Do I have to withdraw my application to re-apply again?

 

stockers ive sent an emailing to them asking that here basically what ive asked and ill let u know the answer when i get :-

1.can i reapply for the progamme whilst being on the waitlist?
2.if i get offered a poition whislt being wait listed but cant take it at that time can still reapply for the programme
3.what dates are the next round of interviews likely to be

so yeah ill let u know what they say

 

One step ahead of ya I emailed them this morning asking pretty much the same things lol

 

I got thru on 2nd application!!

When i was rejected in march, they told me i had to wait til december to reapply for the march interviews, and the ppl who were waitlisted til november, i think they were pretty much told the same. They couldnt reapply while on the waitlist, and even if they withdrew the application, they still had to wait a while to reapply. This was when they had March and November interviews tho, so im not sure how the change will affect this if they arent doing interviews til November now.

However i emailed in July asking about any other programs, and they told me about the 2 month programme, which then led onto this. Which is lucky I did, coz if id waited to reapply in december, i wouldnt be getting an interview til november now!

Also, i just want to say, to those of you who couldnt make it onto the 2 month program, pls dont think thats the reason why u didnt get accepted, coz plenty of my mates on the 2 month program were also turned down for the year

 

im with you stockers i wish they had just said no to be honestnwaiting for a year when nothing might come of it isnt going to be fun!

im hoping we will be able to reapply for the nov interviews next year if they have taken off the march ones although i suspect it will be a huge amount of competition more so than before if they are reducing the interview groups to just once a year.

just waiting to hear back from yummy now - do they work sundays?

please dont think this is the end of disney dreams! ive been rejected twice on the disney prog and managed to fight my way through. It does take time but you'll get there. you still have a good chance being wait listed as people do drop out or come home (willing or forced!!)

Just out of curiosity if the email that pinkspider and I recevied was to say we are being waitlisted what does a rejection letter say then? What I'm trying to get to, is everyone who didn't get in are told the same thing or is there a definate no email?

 

Hi guys. I was wondering exactly the same thing. I got the same email as u both. I'm not really sure whether it's a rejection or if i've been waitlisted. If it's a case of being waitlisted then i'd rather have had a definate no...i can't just sit here waiting for something which myt not ever happen. Don't think i'll be reapplying just yet as I can't afford to put my life on hold for another year. Absolutely gutted tho...think people are getting fed up on seeing me with tears streaming down my face. It looks as though they've taken on more people for the summer programme than the year programme. Ah well, congrats to all who got in, u'll have such an amazing time!

i got a complete rejection letter, it just said thanks for ur effort but they would not be offering me a place.

and in that situation i would have given anything to be on the waiting list! All of my friends who were waitlisted are there now, a lot of ppl dont accept there offers, people decide they cant leave home for a year, they get out there and hate it etc etc so places come up all the time!

dont give up hope yet!

 

I was one of those out on the two month program that got wait listed. I was really nervous for the interview, my hair wouldn't sort it self out and I really messed it up.

So I ended up being wait listed. I've already applied for the 6 month program as I loved working on Space Mountain and my managers want me back so if you can't get onto the year I'd really recommend going for that, it's a blast and you meet so many excellent people.
