hi everyone.... Well Ive finally sent my CV off to Alexis and James and had the compulsary 'We'll get back to you in 8/10 weeks' email... Just a matter of sitting back and twiddling my thumbs now!!! Hey Ash welcome to the boards, I know what you mean, I started this process last yr (oct) had a phone interview in the nov I think, then had my face to face interview in Feb this yr and now I only have 6 weeks 6days to wait till I depart for the sunshine state!!!! ;D So yeah It can take a long time (some ppl have even longer tham me to wait) So good look with everything!!!!! Thank Helen! A year to get across the water huh? Its a long time but im sure its more than worth the wait... In fact I could do with a year to get myself sorted... still Ive made the decision to go (hopefully!) Itll take a year to decide on what clothes to leave behind if i do get accepted! A year away from the miserable North and working for a mouse! What else could anyone ask for he he ~*Ash*~
If you think the waitings bad now, wait until you've had your face to face and you are waiting to hear the results. I felt physically sick everytime the phone rang. Good luck!

Welcome Ash and good luck with the application, I firt applied in April and now I am just 3 and a half weeks away from the face to face interview! @ Izzy - dont remind me about what it will be like waiting after the interview, I am absolutely dreading it. Think I will be telling everyone I know not to ring me!!! :-\
Hey, Yeah me and Izzy are on the same flight (or should be if nothing goes wrong l :) Don't worrk about the age thing, I'm 23 and think I'm the oldest of the Dec departure group, there are ppl there who are in their 30's so theres ne problem with age. So did you say you were from the north? where abouts i'm from the north just outside Middlesbrough. Helen x

Ash did you go to Teesside uni? I just spend 4 yrs there, if u did go there u prob would have seen me handing flyers out on the crossing or on till or cloakroom for club one!!!
just realised the chances of our paths crossing at uni are quite slim as there's 5 yrs age difference unless you were a mature student of course?! ;D
he he Jess I left a while ago after doing my three yrs (i make it sound like prison!)... but I know the crossing well! dodging death with the taxi drivers down that road and getting side tracked into Psyche...... I hope they smartened the union up after I left.. it left abit to be desired!
They re-did the bar 2 or maybe even 3 yrs ago and i think this summer they have changed the cafe but i aint sure but will see when i go back for grad next month! They have changed the crossing slightly too, they moved it down towards linthorpe road a little bit more and have made it so only one car can go past at a time so there isnt as much speeding down there anymore!!!Cant believe how much i miss it already cant wait to go back for grad!
Its pretty sad that one of my greatest memories of that place was the chicken Tikka Sandwiches and everyone avoiding lectures by being on chatrooms in the library Am so kicking myself for not applying six months ago when I had the chance.. would have been great to have had a 'Northern Posse' going over! lol
Hi Ash Im waiting aswell. I sent my CV and letter on the 1st October and 2 days later i got the standard 'we will contact you in 8-10 weeks' So still have heard nothing. Im 25 (26 in november!) so i was a bit worried about the age thing too but we can stick together Unfortunately I cant join your Northern group though, im from Hertfordshire just north of London. :-\ Good luck, let me know when you hear anything! Yeah I agree with Shan, time does fly, it just feels like it was only a few weeks ago I was in london for my interview, and i'm off to london again on 2nd nov to get my visa!!! p.s I know where Peterlee is I live in a village next to Sedgefield!!! so just down the road. Helen xx
Ive never been so inpatient in all my life.. probably because now ive made the decision to go for it I just want it over and done with! Thered be so many things to sort out I would just like to get the ball rolling.... Another day of waiting! And whats with the rain!?!? Thinks Im getting the 'Crunchie Friday' feeling already!
