I'm not sure if this is for every country, but the summer program is back for Canadians. Check out Cast-a-way.com at the event and interviews section... runs from June to August.

Hey Pham.... just a question. Do you have anymore info about the program? Is it to work in the Cdn pavilion? Would you still get to live in the commons, vista, chatham?

I'm wondering because before I applied to to the IP, I applied to a 3 mth program at wdw in quick service a few years ago. It wasn't through Cast-A-Way. It was directly through Disney here in Canada. I was accepted, but the problem I had with it was that you had to find your own housing and transportation to and from work. So, I turned it down.

I was accepted to the 12 month program... and my faculty won't let me take a year off... The summer was just brought back to Canada recently.

I talked to Eric at Cast-a-way and he said that the Toronto interviews are May 14th, the program starts June 6th until August 26th. People can work past the August date, but can't start any earlier. Housing is provided...I'm assuming it's at Vista Way or the Commons. The three types of positions are Quick Service Location (F+B), Merch, and Custodial. You won't be working at the Canadian Pavilion... The positions are located at all 4 theme parks. Same pay, I assume. I didn't ask how many positions they are filling... But the summer program is back!

Eric said that they scrapped the summer program after 9/11, and this is it's first year back... for Canada I guess.

I think I was wrong about where the housing will be... I talked to Nicola and she said housing is provided, furniture and pots and pans too... there are pools and tennis courts... except she mumbled something about it might not be at vista way or the commons? Don't quote me on that. But, I retract my earlier statement about where housing is located...

I don't think there are any sites talking about this... I know that at wdwcareers.com they mention that some countries have summer type programs...

Hey Tinkerbell, is your position limited to the UK pavillion or anywhere in the parks? and has there always been a summer program for the UK?

Housing could be Chatham Square. That's where they had the summer people when I was there.

The summer program is back! They are offering J-1 summer work travel visa's! You just need to be enrolled in college and have to arrive on June 26th. The recruiters are coming to Bonn, Germany on June 7th! They also have other areas they are visiting. You can call International Services for the details at 33-1-60-75-97-97.
