I know I asked you about this before Dannii, but I want to make sure.. Did anyone have problems getting the medical test accepted because of bad vision.. I have like -4/-5 on my eyes and I actually lost a job on a Norwegian Cruise Ship (not NCL) it sucked and I did alot of interviews, security and safty training and stuff and they actually told me 2days before I was suppose to join the ship that i couln't. Now I really want to apply for DCL, after not working for the company for 1 1/2yrs.. But I wont If i know I will get disappointed again Help! Anyone had this problem? Or anyone else half-blind in here?
Hey blind chicken , don't worry too much about being half blind.. my vision is as bad as yours and I know a few other ppl on dcl who have a bad vision too (!!) and not working for the company for 1 1/2yrs is not a problem either! I cross my fingers for you!!! Kiss, Dannii
thats wierd.. i mean with glasses or contacts bad vision is corrected to better than most people who have nothing so it doesnt really seem fair especially in that kind of enviroment...
They said in case anything would happen. and I would loose my glasses... LOL! And what do you think? The first thing that happends if the boat is about to sink, we loose electrisity and it would be all dark...
and then being a responsible individual you pull out your us marine night vision goggles and lead everyone to safety
lol glad you asked this question because I hadn't actually thought about this. My eye sights about -5/-5.5 I think (was last time I checked) and hadn't actually considered this as an issue but clearly for some cruiselines it is. Oh well at least it shouldn't be with Disney.
