"The Disney Look" - Seeing Goggles

Hello everybody, I am one of the unfortunates who must wear glasses to be able to see properly So I was wondering about the Disney look thing.

My glasses are metal, pinky/purple and they have thick arms and medium thick frames (I hate them but my opticians are a slave to fashion and didn't have much else!!) When I went to the interview, everyone thought they'd be ok, but I'm just wondering from people already there- how strict are they, and will I need to begin a hunt for "conservative" glasses?

My guess would be that they'd be ok, as it's a dark colour. But honestly, I have no idea if the Disney look people would ok them or not! Sorry! :-\

 

But if they pinky/purple then I doubt they'd accept them. You could do what I do; buy another pair that are neutral, and if Disney don't accept them then you can use them instead. And if Disney accept your lovely purple ones then you have a spare pair! Which come in handy...my glasses broke about 2 months before I finished my program.

Glasses are supposed to be Black, silver, gold (but not garish!) or brown really. From what I can remember anyway.

ah i have 2 pairs of glasses, one looks like its brown until you get into the light and then goes dark reddy colour, the other pair is kinda an orangey/bronze colour. i hope im just gonna wear my contact lenses most of the time and then my glasses on my day off, not sure how to play it tho xxx

 

I havent used my glasses in year - contacts are the way to go!

 

im the same only the days where im a little to fragile to think about sticking my finger in my eye do i wear my glasses now!love my contact lenses!

 

Well I tried contacts, but they didn't do much. I can pretty much go without my glasses, but my eyes get tired and I get headaches etc... so contacts didn't really make much difference :-\

 

ah helen your lucky!im one of the types if i dont have my glasses/contacts on i cant see an inch infront of my nose

I only started wearing contacts this year and I'm so glad I did! I tried them years ago and couldn't stand even the thought of putting my finger near my eye (anything to do with eyes makes me squeamish). However I was determined not to wear my glasses in the uni musical, so here I am. I've worn glasses since I was 3 and so it was really weird to start with!

I'm planning to do the same...I can get away with wearing my contacts 6 days a week (which I shouldn't really because I only have enough for 5 days a week lol) but towards the end my eyes start to hurt.

 

do you wear dailies? im a 2 weekly kinda gal and i know i can get into trouble with the old suncream in the lenses fandango which is y im really unsure about what to do but would love to just wear the lenses if my eyes can cope with it

 

Yeah I wear dailies...I'm too forgetful to remember to clean non daily ones.

 

Omg! They're not gonna care about that lol, honestly not just saying that! I think if u came in with some huge elton john style crazy ones they'd be like "Do you really need those?" but no-one is even gonna think twice about that! LOL

 

Well they did when I was there...they were turning people away who had coloured glasses.

I'm planning on getting purple ones (if Vision Express have them) before I go, but I'll wear contacts for work and glasses on my day off. I'll always have these ones if for some reason I can't wear contacts to work.
