gettin closer to my arrival date so just wondering if anyone knows much about the day we arrive. i'm arriving the night before and still not sure where to stay, does anyone know hotels close to the vista way welcome centre? and the welcome center, where abouts is it?? will taxi drivers know what were talking about if we just say vista way welcome center?? haha
The Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort it literally across the road from Vista Way! You could walk to it the next day. http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ss/1/en/hotel/disbv?_requestid=1363195 Vista Way is actually one of the housing complexes, so if you do end up getting a taxi, just tell them Vista Way and they should know where it is. They can't go inside though so you'll have to get out at security, but there will be signs up for everyone going to the Welcome Centre so you won't miss it! If in doubt, go down to the Front Desk (it's quite obvious) or just ask someone wandering around!
the day you arrive is pretty busy,i think now from what ive read you have to head for vista way and then you get taken to the housing complex your going to be living in from there (before hand you arrived at the housing complex you were living in) You arrive and get your keys and a welcome pack,find your appartment and say hello to your room mates (if they are around,they may be out or at work) and the rest of the day is free for you to spend as you want,i met up with some of my arrival group who i had got to know on these forums,we went for a few drinks and some food and then we went back to the commons for our meet & greet with all the other UK cast members (great fun,a good way to get to meet everyone a break the ice! just expect to get covered in some sort of food/cream/shaving foam etc!) the next day you have to be up early for meetings and paperwork from 8.30ish and after that you have free time to go to walmart for shopping etc again i went with my arrival group and it was a good way to get to know eachother (and find our way to walmart!) Unless you are planning on taking loads of stuff with you i suggest taking a sleeping bag or something for your 1st night as you wont really have time to go to walmart and buy things like that on your 1st day, i took a little sleeping bag and it was fine for the first night,by the time you get to bed your pretty tired anyway so i wasnt fussed what i was sleeping under! I got all my duvet/pillows etc from walmart on the second afternoon after we had done the welcome meeting! the taxi drivers will know what you mean when you say vista way dont worry and if your worried just print off the full address and let them see it,they will soon figure it out!
thanks guys....think we're gonna go for the sunspree....really good rates etc getting closer now.....wow i'm nervous haha i have some sheets and stuff that i bought last time i was out to take with me for the first night....but we're arriving the day before so i think a walmart trip will happen!! does anyone have the full address for vista??? i have 2 different addresses and not sure which one would be right!!
