TELEVISION!!

does anyone know if the flats have tellys in the lounges of the apartments?!!

 

i worry about this lots! I will already miss a YEAR in soapland!

 

The apartments dont come with TV, but usually when u arrive there is a TV of other roomy o a tv that has always been there (usually of someone that lived there years ago and left it), if u apt doesnt have a tv, the best thing u can do is tal with your roomates and buy one togheter.

i was gona say im sure roommates would've purchased one already, i need to watch cheesy us soaps lol! plus obv the essentials of the oc, desp housewives and sport

Why I was there way back in 2001-2002 there weren't acutally TV's provided in the apartments but you generally found that most people who had bought them previously just left them there when they left, (obviously too big to take home!), or failing that somebody will be selling one cheap when they leave or they are pretty cheap to buy in Wal-Mart. All you need to do is connect them up to the cable connection. Just hope you're not in a 8 person apartment like I was at first, it's very difficult to agree on what to watch with 8 people from 8 different countries!!!! To be honest though you'll probably find yourself out most nights or at some random party at the Commons you'll have no time to watch TV!!!!

Enjoy it! I still miss it like crazy! Going to a UK Merch reunion tomorrow!!!!

It's going to be great! A very drunken weekend in Brighton talking about the good old days at Disney World! We had such a riot out there!

You will, you'll meet so many great people who will be friends for life! Just enjoy it as believe me it goes way too quickly! Have fun! And enjoy those Epcot fireworks every night! I loved listening to them every night,(used to be cashing up in the stores while they were on!) used to give me goosebumps every night! And then it would be off running to the nearest party! If you're over 21 make sure you to Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk (you can walk there from Epcot), it's a dueling piano bar where cast members get in free on a Tuesday and they have dollar beers! They piano guys would play any song you wanted. It was great! We had many a drunken night in there!

i will definately consider that one on tuesdays thanks. I'm not yet 21, but after i arrive 21st june, my birthday is 2 weeks after so i'll definately be checking out that place. I've always wanted to go when i've been on holiday but obviously once i'm 21 ill b in there!

i love american TV!!!!! they get most things before us....i loved teh surreal life when i was there last september!!!

It is such a fantastic experience! Believe people when they tell you it's a once in a lifetime experience! I had a Canadian roommate when I was there and she was lovely! She made loads of cash in Canadian F&B!! I used to be so jealous as I was in UK Merch with no money! Just enjoy every minute of it while you're there, it goes way, way too fast. you think a year is such a long time, but it does go fast and you're back to reality before you know which sucks I can tell you! I was lucky I did the Cruise Line for a year after the International Program so I got to experience Disney at sea too which is definitely recommended if you don't mind a little bit of hard work! Even if you only get to experience it as a guest do it. I went on the cruise twice while I worked at Epcot for vacation as cast members get very good prices on it!

Anyway, I'm off to a Disney reunion tomorrow so need to get some sleep! Can't wait to see everyone again it's been way too long!

I got a tv when i was on exchange it cost me around $60 at walmart...
But im sure they'll be one there... MTV is perfect hangover tv - love real world, road rules etc, and also like desp hws, oc, one tree hill etc...
