Hi, I can't be of much help when telling you how much they take off every paycheque but I do know my son got around $550.00 back this year. He worked from June until December in 2007 and I believe qualified for a full tax refund. So I'm just assuming you get around $100.00 taken off each month maybe. Just guessing though based on his refund.
we pay out of our wages the federal withholding tax. I think it's about 10% but for that I'm going by what a server declares daily. I arrived in June so I did just over 6 months, was taxed 2,000 dollars and in february I claimed back 1,300 dollars so you do get a reasonable amount back. Already this year I've racked up a lot of tax. This is all going on a server's wage in the UK pavillion.
