Hi guys, hope you're all loving the waiting lol! Quick question, does anyone have a tattoo that would be in a visible place? Like the arm, neck, leg? The reason I ask is that I have recently got one on my arm and it's below the elbow crease so very visible. It's not huge but you can see it. Just wondering if I should tell Yummy or whether it can be covered with a band aid, make up or anything. Anyone else planning tonciover any tattoos? Any help is great
I would tell them, but make sure you sound perfectly willing to try anything and everything to cover it up. From what I've read about other people, Disney don't accept just a plaster to cover up tattoos, and you have to use stupid amounts of make up, whilst trying to make sure it doesn't look like there's anything there at all. If you come clean about having a tattoo, it means you're not deceiving them in any way, and shows you're honest enough to risk the job (which imo is a good sign). It also means they can give you advice on how to cover it up, instead of having to try for yourself and find your methods aren't good enough.
Hey, Don't know if you've already had your phone interview yet but thats one of the questions they ask, and again at the F2F, one of the girls at my F2F had to send photos of her tattoo ahead of time so yummy could tell her if it would be ok or not, so i would say definitely let them know, and then you can go from there, hope that helps xxx
i dont have any tattoo's but yes tell them, its one of the first things they asked me in the phone interview. and as vikki said you will have to cover it with make up
Yeah, definitely tell them. Mac do a concealer that says it can hide tattoos http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/produ...er-_-tattoo concealer|-|100000000000000030043 I know it's a little pricey for concealer but it's just an idea, plus it's water resistant. I think kat von dee also has some tattoo concealer. Not sure if you can buy it in the UK. I don't have any tattoos.
hiya go here.... www.tattoocamo.com its great stuff and does the job very well indeed, dont waste your time with make-up brand concealers etc as they havent got enough pigment in them to cover tattoo ink (trust me, i have tried sooo many!! the Kat Von D stuff is terrible, total waste of money, most of the make up style cover ups are crap really!) so is your tattoo on the inside of your arm? or on the outside area? the F&B costume has short sleeves so your going to havr to cover the whole thing, id get the tattoo camo and play around with a few different colours etc so that you can work out the best combo for your skin tone etc it takes a few goes to get it right but i honestly would get it, its great!!! mine isnt an issue at all, with the tattoo camo and the fact that you have to wear tights noone can even tell i have a tattoo at all but for somewhere as on show as your arm your going to have to do a very good job of covering it up (and making it look like theres nothing being covered up!!)
mind yuo when kerry and i were out there - there wa s agirl literally covered in tattoos i mean seriously everywhere from back of the enck to legs and wrists and she had to cover them in make up. tattoos on the chest/back/shoulders also show through the costumes so soe people had to wear white vests/undershirts to cover them. - i think one of the guys had to wear 2 pairs of the long socks that the guys have to cover his calf tattoo as well. so haing a tattoo isnt a problem so long as it can be covered expertly i would def tell them tho - imagin turning up for the f2f and being told actually cos you didnt tell us in advance you are going to have to go home - that would be awful
thanks for the advice everyone, I really appreciate it I've emailed Hannah and told her about it so hopefully tomorrow I'll receive a reply. Thanks again guys, you all helped a lot and put my mind at rest a little
