Hello~! I have several things I wanted to chatter about, mostly to do with music practise ahhh! Seeing as i'm actually studying at music college, not just playing for kicks, it's kinda clear that I can't go 2 months without practising! It would be truly disastrous! So I was wondering if there's any devoted facilities or at least somewhere I can hijack for that purpose...? What are the noise rules in the apartments? If the others in my flat were ok with it, could I practise there? Having said that, it seems from what I've heard that we could be working very different shifts to our roommates and I wouldn't want to disturb any well needed sleep. Secondly, is there anyone else bringing instruments with them? it would be so cool to have an ICP ensemble of some sort! Either standard setups maybe a wind 5tet or really random selection of what we've got and just have some sessions creating things! Maybe between us we can get a reasonable string 4tet and we could do some of the AMAZING clarinet 5tet rep? Ahh that would be so cool! I maybe getting a bit ambitious here, but I'm guessing like here in the UK, there may be free lunchtime concerts and things around orlando and nearby - we could offer our services! if we set something up here even, before we go, and approach some FL organisations and ask if they might be interested?? Actually, it would be great to find a pianist/harpsichord player - we cold do some duo stuff. And a cellist. Are there pianos available? AND we should have a mini vocal group? We could have a look at some disney songs(!) and arrange them for however many parts we have... that could be really fun. And then busk in orlando haha I just know I'm going to miss my ensemble and choral stuff loads... and it might be a great oppurtunity to do some new stuff with new people i'm just thinking of casual stuff, nothing serious! Just to keep it ticking over and hopefully have some fun at the same time Anyone interested??
