Hi all! I just found out about this programme (I know, I know) and I'm so excited to try out for it! The sad thing is I completely missed this year's cutoff for Summer, and as I'm still in university, I can only do Summer 09 programme (waaay too excited, I love Disney!) I was just wondering if anyone knows for Canada, when exactly do the applications open for ICP Summer 09? And if you've done the interview process, how did it go (like did you have to go somewhere special to take the interviews etc?) Also quick question - I understand that to be eligible for ICP, you have to be studying somewhere currently. I'm studying i Toronto, ON, but I'm actually not Canadian ... :3 Does that affect my chances of being eligible to apply through Canada, or should I try applying from my home (I don't really think they have this programme there >_<)? Thanks alot! I'm really hoping this dream comes true because it's always been a dream to work for Disney, with people and in a theme park
the best thing to do is contact yummy jobs who take care of the application process for the uk and canada, they will be able to answer any questions about the application process if you have a facebook they have a group with all the contact details and the web address (www.yummyjobs.com)
This is late, but thanks for the reply! I emailed Yummy Jobs and Kristin was very helpful in answering my questions - I'm so excited now, I can't wait!! Just a heads up for any Canadian students thinking of ICP 08: Yummy Jobs are accepting resumes starting June. And say hello if you're applying too (I'm not Canadian, but I'm going to be spending the next 4 years here for university) - it'll be great to make friends during the whole process!
Hey! I'm from Toronto (I'm attending U of T, 2nd year) and I'm going to be applying for the summer program '09. (I hope I get in!!) I've emailed yummyjobs, and Kristen told me to send my resume... should I do that via email? Or snail-mail? Or maybe both? haha, this process is kinda confusing. Oh! My name's Jacqueline BTW (you can call me Jackie). Nice to meet you!
Go with email... kristen@yummyjobs.com, I believe! She'll get back to you as soon as she gets the chance-she's a very efficient gal when it comes to that sort of thing! Oh, and welcome!
I would say email is best, but that is just personal preference, and to who Kev said. That is who i sent mine to and i got a reply about one hour later.
So has anyone gotten a phone interview yet (& how was it)? I received an email from Kristen a few weeks ago saying she would love to have a phone interview but I couldn't schedule mine yet because I wasn't in Canada ... just emailed her back saying I'm back in Canada and that she could call anytime from now. ... so excited.
no fair! Still got two weeks til the six weeks is up...though ive ben compulsively checking my emails since i sent it off lol.
I'm sure they'll reply, don't worry! Do something else - it takes your mind off the waiting and when you get the email back it'll be a really nice, pleasant surprise I bet. Good luck!! *best wishes*
I've got Uni to occupy myself with, but when and if i get a reply, i will be waiting and ready to respond.
