Suitcases are out!!!

Well, i made the brave decision today to start packing!!! Already have too much stuff, and i'll probably find more that i want to take. Trying to be strict with myself, and only take things that i will really miss, but its not easy. Shoes are the hardest choice!!!! Room is looking a bit barer now, getting excited ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

 

How many suitcases did you decide to take? I understand the decision making especially with the shoes, i'm already having a hard time deciding (i'm a little early though) and i'm not even a shoe person! Good luck with the packing, and don't forget, you can buy more stuff and suitcases there to bring it all back with you

 

heh YAY!! a packer.i love packing,,sadly ive been packed the day i found out!!! tragic i know,i couldnt resit.yes me too i have far to much stuff,but i still need sandles..and sum other shoes....heheheh

yaya!!!!!!! and my hand luggage is gunna be worst! my suitcase is going to be soooo fricken heavy!!!!!!! nooooo.Im not looking forward to carrying my luggage around..hehe .i like rolling it..i love that sound!!!

ITS AN AIRPORT sound!! which means HOliday!!.sorry im gettin excited too .

i have two large cases, hopefully wont fill them both, need to save room for shopping and souvenirs!!
also have my rolly hand luggage, personal bag and laptop - oops ;D
so many things i need to take!!!!!!!

How much are we allowed to take? I have my laptop, hand luggage, for the plane. And i thought we could only take one suitcase?

 

you can take 2 suitcases, each weighing up to 32kg (depends on your airline). Then one piece of hand luggage PLUS handbag, small personal item or laptop.

I have a way of piling all my suitcases on top of each other, and if i build my muscles up i should be ok!!!!!!! ;D

I thought we were only allowed one too, and the weight allowance for US airways is pretty harsh, theres another thread about it on this board somewhere. I'm going for minimalistic approach when I pack!

 

I have NOT GOT THE SUITcase.
I will have to buy it ONCE I successfully got the VISA.
I wonder HOW BIG the suitcase I should buy.
Is there ANY LIMIT for it?

 

I've been packing for a long time now, 1 month++... hehe
I'll be bringing 2 suitcases, a backpack, a big and a small bag. So its overweight for me...
But then again, I'm planning to stay in Florida permanently. Otherwise I'd be bringing just one suitcase to make room for all the clothes I know I'm gonna buy...

 

Sarah thats so exciting you're packing! I have to wait a few weeks till i move back home. I know what u mean about shoes i dunno how i'll get it to less than 8 pairs!

Craig and Feeona - us airways and continental let u take 2 suitcases... or they did last year when i was on exchange.

Melissa i think if there is a size limit its pretty big... most shops sell bags intended to go on flights so im sure whatever u buy will be fine. Its just the weight. Maybe try not to get a hard/plastic type suitcase cos they weigh more.

wow guys, coming from someone that always packs a month before going on HOLIDAY...im so proud of myself...I havent started packing!

but now im thinking i'd feel less guilty about starting lol! Im going on one final shopping trip before hand though. as knowing me i'd pack then buy a new wardrobe and have to start over!lol

isnt going to be a bit difficult to carry two cases, and two bags! im takin one case (with wheels) my laptop and 1 handluggage and i think i will struggle to carry that on my own

 

i'm starting to put things in my suitcase, but very slowly as i am supposed to be revising for my exams! :'( i hate exams!
