Actually I just got an email from Yummy Jobs saying that Disney are waiting for the US Works department to allocate their H2B Visas - so we won't hear anything until then. They said it may be a few weeks!!!

    Hang on in there!!!

I hope it doesn't take that long! That would leave us with very little time to prepare and get visas sorted/flights booked, but I suppose it could happen. I'm trying to think of other things to focus my attention on, for example I get my resit results on Thursday, but I still can't stop thinking about Disney.

I wouldn't worry about that, we did it all in about a month last time. It was a little tight for some people, but it worked :)

Hey, at your interviews, did they tell you what kind of positions they are offering this time around? ie quick service, operations, custodial, life guard....

like andy said, dont worry about getting stuff sorted, we did it in a month last time!

Money wise, u might wanna be optimistic and start saving, and if you dont get the job in the end u have a bit of money to do sumthin else with!!

yep it definitely doesnt take too long to get stuff sorted i didnt even consider going to disney until end of july and was there by september 10th so it is possible! yes they gave us a role checklist of all the positions available it was;merchandise, quick service f&B, full service F&B, operations and custodial (basically everything)

I'm definately going to start saving! How long does it take to organise visa interviews? coz i thought that might take a while, but obviously not!

You ring them up and they give you a random date. The closer to the time the harder it will be get get a convenient date where you will get your passport (with VISA) back in time. The date I was given was at first was too late, so I asked if it was possible to get an earlier date. When I did I was given all sorts of scary warnings along the lines of if I didn't turn up I'd be banned from ever getting a VISA to the states ever again. Good job I made it!

You also need to book flights and have some spending money. They reckon to have $300-$500 with you for the first few weeks, but everyone I know had more then that. I managed quite fine with $500 though.

A large chunk of that money will need to be spent on work shoes (probably) and bedding along with wasting it on rubbish.

Looks as if we'll have to wait till Monday now. :(
