Hey, I've been lurking for a bit, so a quick introduction: I'm Brett, from South Africa. I've got a F2F in September for dates to start between "February 2011 and September 2011". Now, I've put my available date as February, but my brother's wedding is at the end of May. 2 questions: 1) Is it going to hurt my chances to change availability to June? 2) At the actual interview, is there an opportunity to discuss things like this? I guess I could always fly back out here in May. I may have to sell a lung though. But hey, I'm not really using those things...
no, it wont hurt your chances if you change the date, this is the reason the offer a you the option to state when you are available to go so dont worry about putting june down! yeah at the interview you can talk to the interviewer about it so dont worry, itl be fine!!!
Hey as far as I understand at the F2F you will be able to discuss start dates so you can explain situation. Sure it will be fine, if they like you I'm pretty sure they will have you & try to accommodate your preffered dates. I had my phone interview on Monday & we discussed dates and she said how they do there best to match it. What program are you applying for? Sure others will be able to give you more information.
