So I am a huge basketball player and Golf fanatic do you think it's worth bringing down my golf clubs if i plan on playing lots of rounds while i am there? Or do you think it will just be a hassle to store them? And I know there's a basketball court somewhere so should i bring my own basketball????

Isn't it easier to just by a basketball for when you're there so it won't take so much room in your luggage? I'm sure there's a basketballcourt at Mickeys Retreat. Golf clubs are probably more expensieve (I don't know much about this), so in that case you should bring them... Depends on how long you're staying though and what program you're on... I know it shouldn't be a problem to store them in the Commons at least...

Check the airline restrictions on what counts as pieces of baggage re: the golf clubs though- you'll probably buy a lot of stuff while you're out there and will almost definitely need two suitcases to bring it back (I need two just for the summer programme), so you wouldn't want to be stuck with three check-in bags

You will get a discount on the 3 golf courses within the 'world' however Im sure if the tee time is fully booked staff reservations are the first ones that will be cancelled.

O yeah I know all about having t-times cancelled considering i work at a golf course 4 months a year. As for luggage restrictions I am driving down there so i don't have to worry about it. I just can't see myself not taking in some rounds of golf when I am there.

im geussing there is no cricket pitches or afl grounds there *shucks* lol

can you rent clubs from the courses? i know the courses i play charge around $10 AU for a basic set of clubs which are old but in this case would save you lugging a golf bag to the otherside of the globe :p

my excitement in part stems from the fact that my grand parents own a golf course. I think I love golf so much is because golfing with my friends is usually a GONG show. It's a great mind game and stress release. I'm going to say the best part of golf would have to be the beer cart.

As for archery I am sure there is a place that you can give a go at it... That's one thing I will miss when in Florida not having an ice rink every couple of blocks in the winter... But I will not miss the winter and it's -47 degree weather we have been having lately...
