HI!, I decided to start a topic about sports!!! ok here's the idea, what sports and activities that you like, or you practice right now at your hometown or at the commons if you are a CM, or would like to do over there... or you won't be able to practice on WDW....
Im not a big fan of sports... but I love to swim!!!!! i used to swim at the univeristy... i hope i can swim at the commons pool
swimming is great, is there a pool in all the complexes or just the commons?? and is it true we dont get into the waterparks for free? waterparks are so much fun ;D
ya waterparks you dont get in for free... just at a discount ... which sucks its not free... but i hear the discounts arent too bad for cast members
Ultimate frisbee! Hah, I'm not sure if anyone outside of the dirty hippys (kidding!) of BC have heard of it, but I am so hooked on it! I suck so bad, but it's the fun that counts! I'm totally psyched for the pool at the Commons! My best friend had a pool and just about everyone in my small town was friends with her just because of it! How clean is it, though? I'm both excited and a little scared of it... hahaha
Hi! Every complex has a pool and the waterparks are free during winter time( if I remember that right). And they are free after a certain time. I never paid for them. But just been to them 3 times. I'll never forget that fat American who was just stuck on top of the slide and the life guard pushed her till she could slide down. hehe
hahaha sounds amazing to have seen!! another great "sport" is shoe golf. like golf, but instead of using a golf ball, use a shoe, and instead of a golf club, your foot you can fling them reeeeaaally far! the best is extreme shoe golf, which we played by teeing off from the top of a cliff, and the "hole" was on a bring so thin only one person can walk across it sideways, over a river, and surrounded by nettles! i'm so lucky to still have my shoe
From what I saw the pool was clean for what you'ld expect from an out door pool (ya know the odd leaf and such), however (and this is told to pretty much from what I understand), you pretty much don't want to use the Vista Way hot tub... I'll put it this way, it went down for an extended (ie 3 month) refirbishment about a month before I left.
im such a lazy thing im kinda hoping to get more active at disney - maybe do some blading, definitely swimming. i play badminton right now but i dunno if anyone will play over there
Yup, Cardiff has a society for it! We watch them when we're waiting for kickboxing, looks much fun!! I love swimming, but there's no decent pools near where I am in Cardiff. Or in Cardiff in general, apparently Picked up Kickboxing this year, and loving that too- much fun for letting out stress and generally just having a laugh, I'm going to miss it over the summer... Although I won't miss the damned warm ups. God it's going to hurt when I go back after a 5 week break!
I do play badminton - it was the 'girly' sport at my school though, so even my gym teacher didn't spend too much time on it! I loved it though, not as intense as tennis And I'm not too shabby myself! Hahaa
I'm a swimmer (use to be pretty damn good too until I discovered booze) but you cant beat a game of football (soccer) either! Never miss my team play on a Saturday (Dundee FC) and never miss a game with the Glasgow Dees when we play in 5 a side tournaments (the other players are too old to play 11 a side). My uni is too small to have sports teams and stuff... there's only 800 of us.
HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY AND UMMMMMMMMMM HOCKEY..... Have to get some sweet Ball Hockey games going on in the parking lots of the commons... lol... or if security doesnt allow it will have to go somewhere and play.... hahaha.... i cant wait to go to Tampa Bay Lighting games, Florida Panthers games... oh and Football...
Somehow, maybe due to my awesome detective skills Hockey_town, I had the impression you were fond of hockey Last time I played hockey, it was street hockey and I slap-shot'd the puck right in to my friends shin. Haha, never again....
lol.... one time when i was young i was playing street hockey with my older brother and he was in goal... and i slapped the ball and i got him in the b&lls..... hahahhaha i laughed then i dropped my stick and ran... hahaha he was gonna kick my butt.... it was pretty funny though
jaaaaaaaajajajajjajajajjajaj I bet it was..... ok as everyone now already knows.... my passion, my love, my life, (besides my girlfriend) is Rock Climbing.... the heights, the separation from the city, the personal challenge, the nature, the danger, the mountain,the fitness, the adrenaline and the friendship almost like a brotherhood, its just it.... everything about it just makes me love it. im gonna miss my monutains.... shure i will... im gonna have to do gym climb or bouldering, but at least i wont loose my condition.
Yeah Hockey!! I used to play ice hockey some months ago, it was a little late though, Mondays and Wednesdays @ 10 p.m, and then to school next day really early, but was worth it! Also I like Football; the best team of course Green bay!! Everyone in my family likes to watch the games especially in playoffs. But the best sport is fut Soccer, I love it!!My team is Barcelona!! Let’s organize some games of every sport in the commons when we get there. It would be great! We can even organize a football soccer league! Also a big fan of water sports, Inner tubing is one of my favorites.
It’s when you ride in the sea biscuits and the boat pulls you at different speeds trough the lagoon or river. It’s really fun, and you get tired if the trip is bumpy and if you go lay down on your belly. The other time after I fall down of the tube 3 times I was no longer able to hold on to it because I was really tired. Also two or more people can ride at the same time, make it more fun because you can fight to throw the other one into the water. Hours & hours of fun guaranteed, and lot's of exercise, especially in the arms!! 8) 8) 8)
My sister and I used to do that all the time! Haha, whenever we went camping we'd see who could push the other person off the tube first. I always won, of course.
