    Hi all,

I know there have been loads of posts on the interviews.. but here's another!
I had Mark who was really friendly but gave nothing away. I really mumbled my words and repeated myself on some of the questions. Couldn't help but feel I didn't do the best I could have! I got the impression that he thought I had head on my shoulders (we did lots of business talking) but that doesn't really mean anything, except that he probably thought I wasn't the right person for the program!
Who did u guys have? And how did you feel you did?
Also, (another thing thats been mentioned!) How cheesy were the videos, I was laughing so much at crazy Valarie, I think she needed a slap! And what about the guy that showed us around his apartment "its just great, all these pots and pans were supplied!" - big deal! And how much would I love Julie's job? Touring the world, recruiting people for Disney! And, how amazing were the offices? From the sparkly Mickey in the lobby, to the desks surrounded by cuddley toys upstairs!

I had Julie on Tuesday afternoon. She was over hlf an hr late- not good!!!
Really do not have a clue how it went! I talked about Earl Grey and Cadbury chocolate- now if i get the job i'll be surprised!

Yes the video was crazy, and the guy in the appartment what was with the sunglasses?????????
If you think that part of the offices was full of toys u should see phase 1 as thats where disney store are and where they test out all the window displays!!!
Oh well just another 15 days left!

i had julie on monday afternonn, im not sure how it went i was in there for 30 mins, she wanted to no about my dancing (irish dancing) i spose cos its relevent to the uk and she asked me to show her some lol so in my interview i had to dance which i really wasnt expecting, she was really nice but like everyone gave absolutly nothing away, i think there was a few questions that i didnt answer great either and i feel like i could hav done better, but there is no use worrying about it now - its over and we jus hav to sit back and wait (which is awful and im hating every minute of it lol) ;D

I'm sure everyone's interviews went better than they think. I know from my interview with Julie in October... she's very, very hard to read. Guess that's why she's doing HR for Disney.

@Sarah... I wouldn't worry about Julie being late for the interview. The interviews always tend to run a little over the time they are supposed to. Our interviews started at 11am (if I remember correctly) and mine was supposed to start at 11:15. I was in the 2nd two to get interviewed and I didn't get in until after 11:30. I really had the feeling that my interview didn't go all that well. As long as you were excited to talk about Earl Grey and Cadbury, you'll be fine. You gotta remember, Julie probably knows quite a bit about the UK from listening to all the interviews.

@Kelly.... Dancing in your interview. That's awesome! If that doesn't show enthusiasm, I don't know what will. I'll bet it will be hard for Julie to forget you. I'd be surprised if that doesn't get you to WDW.

I had the foreign guy do mine.... he was venezualen (sp?) and suddenly started smiling when it aid i speak spanish on my CV! I felt that the interview went well... he kept saying good at my answers and smiling and stuff, and asked me about an average day in the disney store and what i do there etc.

    i can't believe we'll know in 2 weeks! Argghhhh!!!

Was really nice meeting people from the boards and apologies if you said hello and i couldn't remember who you were!

I've got a question for all those interviewed on the 1st of march - How many people where there roughly? We worked out there were around 42 ish applicants on the monday but I thought there may have been less yesterday!

    Hi Izzy,
there were quite a lot there yesterday, maybe about 5 or 6 rows would you say Sarah? V tough i think cos everyone just seemed so Disney mad and obsessed. What about the Monday lot? How many? Does anyone have an idea how many jobs are available? My friend Gemma said there's a turnaround of about 100 in f&b throughout the year but not sure for our recruitment time. I don't think i did that well either and i could've said loads more. I was the first in and i just wished i had done my best as it's a long way to london again! Fingers and everything crossed. I did promise myself i wouldn't go on here til i know but hey that's not happened!

Zoe do you remember what time the interviews started and what time they finiished?

The monday ones started at 11 - 1 i think so they would have interviewed 24 between them before lunch and thenthey started again at 2.30- 4.15.
If it was similar on tuesday then there was probably 80-85 people interviewed in total so say there were 20 jobs both in september and december then we will have about a 50% chance of getting in ???

I think it said on the sheet that there were 47 there on Tuesday. I feel really confused now as there are about 50 positions available and Jason said we all had about a 1 in 3 chance of getting the job.

Apparently the odds of getting past the telephone interview stage are 1 in 8 so i'm pretty chuffed to have gotten this far :)

argh.. could hardly sleeplast night, so angry with myself: I don't know about anyone else but the more I think about the interview the worse I feel it went! I'm so annoyed with how I answered some of the questions.. I really didn't let Mark know that I'd travelled most of the UK, I didn't say enough about my village, I didn't let him know that I'd really love living & learning about other cultures, I didn't speak enough about making use of the learning facilities, I said nothing about what a big part Disney has played in my childhood, and how I've always wanted to go to DisneyWorld, etc etc..

Just so angry with myself for messing it up, as I probably won't get another shot at it  :'(

Aww Beth - try not to think of how u thought the interview went. Its hard to say everything u want to in a short space of time! Often its the interviews u think went badly that u then get the job for.
Really hope u and everyone else gets good news.
