Hellooo! I've been reading into applying for a wee while now and have some questions for those on the job/applied - I'm only 20 but I turn 21 next August.. can you submit your application early on before you turn 21 or will I have to wait until I actually hit 21? (I've emailed the agency two weeks ago but no reply, was considering sending it away in the new year and seeing what happens..?) - Looking at the DCL website, is the available jobs what you can apply for through the agency? The drop down box seems very generic so I'm guessing it is just selecting your preferred section? (mine is retail/merch but it isn't mentioned) - Gumtree have loads of DCL jobs advertised from the UK, not too sure if it's the agency posing them up, it's rather confusing me!! I'm surprised they haven't replied. Have you tried finding their Facebook page and asking them there? I think they would discourage you from applying because the age restriction is for visa reasons so they couldn't start your visa process until you turned 21. That complicates things for them and they are likely to forget about you. if you live outside the US that is... entertainment is the only area you can join under 21 but usually you need to be american/canadian because they don't need the same visa.
I'm not sure if they have changed their policies or not, but we have a YA counsellor on board who is 20 and from the UK. A couple of others are as well but they are all from the US.
