    Hi all,

I have a social security number already so does this mean i am not required to bring the long list of items such as birth certificate and photocopies of it etc on my arrival??i dont want to not bring them and theyn it turns out i need to prove who i am or something lol along with my card!!! what do you think i should do?x

  2. I would bring them. They took photocopies themselves but it is better to have them than to get there and not have them.

    Hey!

I think it is a good idea that you bring photocopies of everything just in case you misplace your birth certificate or passport. I also already have a SSN and will be bringing the original plus a copy. Hope that helps!

Hey I already had a social security number when I went down for the ICP program in '06. Really all they need from you is the number itself and proof that you are who you say you are - but it doesn't hurt to have the rest of the required information just in case! When I went, I didn't even remember or have any documentation of what my security number was. I just gave my name, where I lived for a short time in the U.S., and when I would have gotten the number. The officer disappeared for a while, but still managed to dig it up! I was actually really surprised at how easy it was! But I'm just one to cover all my bases, so I would still take the other documentation or ask Yummy Jobs if they know anything different.
