what a...waste of time and extreeeeeme annoyance i got up at 5 (didnt want no chance of being late) was on the underground heading into london and arrived at the embassy at 7.30, and joined the que of people outside, happy that id made it in time with time to spare =), started reading my book and it went past 8. All of a sudden this man from the embassy told everyone, there was a power failure and we should expect delays. so im thinking ok maybe bout half hour extra. 2HRS PASS!! AND STILL NOTHING!! its freezing cold, foggy as anything, and was actually starting to feel ill, standing in the cold like that. Then another embassy guy comes along and tells us all to go home and make another appointment! ¬ ¬ so...basically, i got up..MEGA EARLY in the morning, spent 13 pound on a travel card and spent just under 3 hours standing in the cold for nothing!? so yeh went home and rang the PREMIUM rate number, made the appointment again...which cost me 15 quid for the phone call ¬ ¬ are the embassy gonna compensate me? i doubt it! yet if i make one mistake during this process, theyll be the 1st to complain ¬ ¬ Not impressed really
