So does anyone not drink, and likes to party sober??

Well not to make me sound like a total Dork 8), but uknow I'm a clean moral girl and I love to dance and party and go out and have a fun time but I love to all these things sober, I don't smoke, drink or party hard so am I the only one?? ??? I know this coming year is going to be great and I'm going to have a blast but if I could find some friends who just don't get "involved" with certain situations that would be cool too. So if your sorta on the same page as me.....please please talk to me...ha ha

Hey Zero, no you're not alone. I'm the same way. I do like to have a good time, though alcohol puts me to sleep, how much fun is that?!,hehe To each their own, I think you just have to go in with an open mind. I don't care what others do, I know what my limits are and what I will and will not do. Either way I'm sure we'll all have a blast!

 

Don't worry about not being a drinker

I didn't have one drink my whole year in the program and I still had a blast!
It's not going to be easy finding people like you and I, I don't think I knew anybody who DIDN'T drink when I was on the program but just because you aren't like them or they aren't like you, shouldn't stop you from having an amazing time.
You do have to realize that there is going to be a lot of people drinking, almost everybody, in fact but don't not hang out with them just because you aren't like them otherwise you're going to miss out on meeting some great people.

I am like you too! I don't drink or "party hard" so if all else fails you'll have a canadian companion come June 21st I met a few others at the Vancouver interviews that are of the same mind as you and I so don't fret we'll find them out somehow. I'm sure the others are great though and they'll understand that we don't drink so it's gonna be a blast!

 

I wont be drinking either due to my age! But the real party people are people who can have a good time with out the need for drink! ;D

I am not allowed to drink over there, and I do not know if I will or will not drink. I have to see. I know where my limits are, and sometimes I drink at parties, sometimes I don't .. When I have to drive. lol
due to the fact that the drinking age is 18 over here, I have to see lol
I like partying and dancing a lot. I do not have to drink if the people and the atmosphere and music is alright
I do not know. I can live without it, I can live with it.

hey everyone, just a note to let u know that when i was there for a year, some of my best friends out there didnt drink, but so many times they were the life and soul of some great parties, they know who there are!!!!!

u will never be forced to drink so please dont worry!!! my advice is to go to parties, you can have lots of fun without drinking.. i personally did drink but only when i wanted to and in some cases like in uk lasses (monday night drinking and pleasure island) i was a big drinker but then again i am irish!!.. but u are never forced, we have some girls who came to monday night parties and joined in our drinking games using non alcohol drinks and they often loved it for the fun!!

Go out there, dont worry and have the time of your life, drink or no drink..

I'm so glad that someone started a messageboard on this topic, because I had been thinking about what it means to go down there with a legal age of 21. I'm from Winnipeg, where it's 18, and I do like drinking sometimes, but like some other people have said, I can have tons of fun w/o drinking, and I'd never be one of those ppl to judge ppl on whether they are or are not.
I'm not sure what's going to happen down there, because I'm soooo paranoid that if I drank I'd get caught, and I'd much rather live there for a year than have a couple of drinks! So anyways, I'm just sooooo relieved to know that if I'm not drinking, I won't be alone!

 

I'm a DJ! We'll arrange some under 21 only parties!

 

I have fun all the time so don't necessarily need drink to enjoy myself although i do have the odd drink or two which i will do in florida, but as others have echoed and the topic has shown there are people who see things the same as you kaddy so no need to worry.

We're all gona have a blast whether alcohol is or isn't involved ;D

Well, I am currently 21 but I'll join all you non drinkers Though it is nice just in case I feel like having a drink that it's not forbidden.

 

I won't be drinking either...mostly due to my age, but also because i don't really drink that much at home anyway. I'm being a good girl these days!whats the point in having a great time if you can't remember it the next day anyway!!! I'll keep telling it to myself and maybe i'll start believing it!!

I know that only too well lindsey waking up not realising what happened, although i have calmed down with my increasing years haha. But yeah i doubt ill drink that much as i said before i may have the odd drink but im not gona b getin totally legless all the time, im not good the morning after so id rather live without that occassionally.

 

Hi you guys, well it looks like Im going to be one of the oldies when Im over, Ill be 22 when I arrive! To be honest living in a country that the legal age is 18 really takes its toll on your body and mind! I love the dancing and music side to partying but sometimes the drinking is a killer. I will enjoy a few when im out there but other times I guess Ill just want to chill! Even though there wont be much time for chilling!!! Anyway when your living in the biggest playground in the world theres less need for drink(i think?!) - I was there on holiday summer04 and drank in Pleasure Island only once (had an amazing night mind you!) the security was very high and as I was with my friend who wasnt 21 yet. I was being watched very carefully.! 8) Your given bands and stamps for your wrist if your over 21 but only one stamp on the opposite side of your arm if your under :-\. It seemed like there was a security guy at each bar!!

Nevertheless partying will be done my friends and I hope that whatever way we all individually party we will make good friends and just generally have a blast!!!

Carol - i'll be 23 when i start at Disney!!!
I too remember from my year in america how strict they are on id - Theyd even come over to the tables sometimes if one of us had bought several drinks to check everyone drinking them was over 21.

I wanna echoe what youve all said - Disney is a fantastic opportunity for all of us and it will be a blast - regardless of alcohol. i like to party and drink - but not be drunk! I wont be drinking if ive got an early shift the next day! Unless of course i have an early shift the morning after Sara's Birthday!!!
