    hi everyone, so today i got a call that said there was a spot in canada in food and beverages waiting for me in florida if i wanted. now if this was 5 months ago i would have been jumping up and down. but its not. im worried im too old (22) to be putting my life on hold for a full year to escape reality and dress up in a lumerjack's attire...yet it still sounds fun. any suggestions?!?!

    Hey,

    Don't worry about the age 22 is not old!! I'm 23 and going out from the uk on 6th Dec. I know what you mean that it is short notice but it is once in a lifetime and you can always go home if you don't think it is for you. I found out in march thet I had been offered the job so its been a lot easier for me.

    you just need to do whats right for you, think hard but not too long ;) ;)

    Hope to see you in 6 weeks.

    Helen xx

    Hey,

    I also got a call yesterday. I think you should take it, its a once in a lifetime opportunity. I'm inthe middle of my college course, and I'm dropping out to go. Anything your doing will be here when you get back, so don't worry about it ;). See you in December!!

    Hey,
    If it is something you always wanted to do I say GO FOR IT :D Like Helen, I am 23 as well and yes I finished University but I am also leaving an awesome job to go do this! Working at Disney is just one of those things that I always wanted to do and not look back with any regret for not doing it!!!! If you feel the same way, Go FOR IT!

    Good luck with your decision,
    Aliyyah

    A big HELLOOOO!!!

    I kinda get what you're saying... I've HAD those thoughts (I'm 30!!) but really just repeating what everyone else has already said... It REALLY is a ONCE in a lifetime opportunity... Take it Girl ya cwwwaaaaazzzzyyyy fool! hehe... Although you're 22, it isn't old believe me... You're Young, Intelligent and well... kinda cute!  ;)  hehe... well enough of the cheesey talk.  But seriously, Canada... Oh Canada *breaks out into song* will still be there in 12 months time.  Just like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory YOU HAVE THE GOLDEN TICKET!!!

    I mean look at me... I'm 30... ...err yeah, I'm 30... ??? I'm postponing my career in the Fire Service to do this (if I get thru!!) another future star in the making is dropping out of college to do this... THIS IS YOUR ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY not only to spend the best 12 months of your life in THE WORLDS No.1 coolest place to live and work, but the most awesome opportunity to meet and make MANY and I mean MANY new friends, and represent your Country - I mean HOW AWESOME is that???

    Ok, I'm going on and on a bit now, but you've come all this way, through all the process, try and stay true to yourself and remind yourself of how you feel when you're at Disney on 'vacation', remind yourself of the magic you feel (this's sounding more like a promo video) I don't know about you but I just got 'goose bumps' all over just thinking about it.

    8) How cool would it be to say you work for, no I mean WITH 'THE MOUSE';
    8) How cool would it be to be to keep girls & boys (both big and small) dreams alive, making their stay just that little bit more special;
    8) How cool would it be to not have any worries about 'living the dream' for a complete year;
    8) How cool would it be to be able just to hop on a coach in the morning and be ferried to work and back;

    I could go on and on... sorry if I'm boring you... I'm gonna wrap it up soon I promise...

    Trust me on this.. YOU WILL REGRET it if you don't do it... infact, the 12 months will fly by and you won't want to leave!!!

    Listen to your heart, for it is only you who truly knows what it craves (too profound???)

    You've got the smile, you've got the qualities, you've got the looks, now get your gear organised... YOU'RE GONNA BE A CAST MEMBER IN EPCOT... Knock 'em dead kiddo!!!

    Hehehe...  :D

    Seriously!

    Age means nothing when your out there! You could be 18 or 108 and youd still have the best time!
    Your age really has no relevance out there as every1 gets treated exactly the same where age is concerned!
    When I was out there, I arrived as the youngest person out there (bar my arrival buddy!!!) and for maybe the first 2 secs I felt little but then after that it made no difference for the rest of my time!
    You even have an advantage on the youngest people as you can go everywhere and you dont have to worry about the age restrictions!
    Seriously, you will have the best time!
    You wont regret it, honestly!!

    Hey! I would just hate to think that someone who has all the star qualities would miss out... I want this more than life itself... 12 small months, a truly life changing experience I think!

    This to me, will be like winning the lottery every day that you're there! I have alot to learn but far more to give too... I just want to be apart of the dream... I naturally am a helpful guy who enjoys making others smile... I don't know why, I just am... I want to bring the best out in eveyone, afterall it is Disney... Oh roll on... next year can't come soon enough people...

    leahsydne HAS made the right choice if she's as passionate about Disney as we all are, I'm sure she is.

    Well... I just wanna congratulate everyone on getting this far and look forward to seeing those of you for F2F in London on November 12th, those of you who are already thru... AMAZING!!! We'll see you next year. Put the kettle on for us!!

    Hey guys! Congrats to the Canucks who just got the call!

    Leah - I'm glad you decided to take the position... I always figure for stuff like this that it is not a permament position. If you don't like it you can get up and leave at ANY time. It's easier to give it a shot and go home if you don't like it than it is to think what could have been for the rest of your life :) Don't worry about being 22. I'm 22 and figure this is my last year of irresponsible fun (what was supposed to last for four months post-university is turning into 28 months... Oye...) until I retire and will be diving hardcore into a "career" when I'm done.

    See you guys soon!
