shoes...

omigod! i started packing today and im having such a nitemare. i cant choose between all my shoes. Ive got 45 pairs and ive finaly managed to whittle the number i take to florida down to 18! But they fill one of my cases completely. its a fairly small case tho and only weighs 10kg on the scales! So i need to find a bigger case...Does anyone know where i can buy big but cheap cases? And girls how many pairs u taking?
ive got 4 pairs of trainers (converse etc) a couple of pairs for my suit. A few pairs of going out shoes and 3 pairs of boots, flipflops gallore, wedges and slippers! i cant take this anymore! i feel like im gonna crack up! lol!! x essay now over....

 

...on the shoe front, does anyone know if we need to take work shoes with us or if we buy them over there? Do Disney have "special" ones!?

 

Your lucky! I'm poor so i don't have that shoe problem! lol  I'm takin what i've got. Not takin winter shoes tho cos i won't need them for a few months and when i do i'll just buy some.  I'm having more of a problem deciding what music to bring.  There's so much!!  I'm trying to narrow it down to the essentials but even thats a long list!!

 

hehe. im thinking the same i think. dont bring winter stuff, i'll want new boots and i doubt we'll need them anyway. so mite only bring my cowboys ones. and wear a pair on plane. hehe. have 2 leave some trainers behind i think too...ah well just means i'll have 2 buy some more converse when i get there! hehe!

@HELEN - tip for music is go get one of those cd sleeve things. that zips up and holds cds. I got one that holds 56cds from tesco it was only a fiver. Put ur music cds and dvds in there without their cases obviously. so u save room and can take more cds x

@chris - until we get into server position we only need black shoes,,.. which u can buy in the first week.

 

omg on thr shoe front lillybet, i only have 10 pairs at the moment so 45 i like wow, i can see why ur having so much trouble in trying to decide which ones to take.

helen i got a CD selve thingy of ebay it cost £9.95 plus p&p and it holds 260 cds so will mean ur'' most prob be able to take ur whole cd collection in it without the worry it will take up to much space.

(can't wait til i'm in ur postion guys)

 

Wow - guess I know who to go to if I need to borrow a pair of shoes

I have a pair of almost-to-the-knee, black, lace-up boots that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE, but am debating about bringing because they are just about falling apart despite being only a year and a half old.  (It all started when some chick on her stilleto crushed the toe one night at the Walkabout when she stepped on my foot.  I now consider stilettos weapons and think people should have to pass some kind of test before being allowed to wear them.  Hmph. )

ive decided i am taking my boots.. i have skinny calfs and have big problems buying boots cos they always too big for me round the calves...so i defo taking them...decision over! lol

@jen - take urs...mine are a year old and battered but like u i love em. i think im getting rid of a few pairs gradually here. hehehe. i bought a pair of wooden flipflip things for my holiday in july but i never wore them...seem to have it in my head i will wear em in florida but i know i wont. so they are staying! down to 13 pairs now! yay. leaving slippers at home too!

I have about 15 pairs of footwear to choose from, so I got it easy!! most of them are trainers and got one pair of shoes which I'll need.

Anyone else takin a suit?? I'm just gonna take mine, never know when I might need a suit!!

amelia - what kind of music u like?? I've got about 70 cd's to take wi me at the mo!! copied them all so not takin the originals!

talking about boots... i used to have like 5 but they're getting old so i thrown them all! hahaa
i just have one that i bought last christmas, which i only wore once!! its not my fav.. i'll see if i can buy any cool one down there! ;D maybe i shud bring it as well just in case!

yea work shoes.. i wonder what they look like! hopefully not those ugly pairs!!

 

I bought the UGLIEST pair of shoes I have ever had the misfortune to see today for traditions. Seriously. I had no business shoes because my black comfortable pair are falling apart and I refuse to wear anything with heels if we're going to do a short tour of the parks. Thing is it's only what? one day? so there is no way I'm spending money on a prettier pair when we have to buy some for work anyway. They llok like those pimsols we had to wear in PE class in primary school except someone had the bright idea of ptting two staps over the centre bit (over the fabric centre that is, not instead of.) *shudders*

Liz, how can you have that many shoes! I think I own like 7 pairs total, and thats only because I've bought some recently. When I went to university I took a pair of old trainers, a pair of bloack heels, a pair of black shoes and soem slipper. That was for 3 years! (it's only the last year I've really 'gotten' the need for shoes).

 

yeah the shoe thing is annoying. i barely have room to fit everything else in so it looks i'm going to have to do a lot of clothing and shoe shopping to do in florida. it looks like i'll only be able to fit one pair of running shoes, one pair of black closed toed work shoes and then a pair of platform sandals. i'm going to have to kiss my boots, dress shoes, and heels all goodbye.

as for cd's i just loaded them all onto my laptop so won't be bringing them. i used a cd holder though to fit all my dvds.

 

oooh its all getting so exciting with us all packing... yep lots of heels are being kissed goodbye today too for me!! im nearly all packed!! have pretty much packed my entire room into my cases...wont have anything over the next few days...i will be borrowing my mums clothes lol!

 

lol - the shoe situation, well when i finally counted all of my shoes (alot of which i havnt worn) i counted 62 pairs. my mum has made me through a load away :'( such a sad time :'( but i manage to get it down to 14/15/16 pairs lol im def taking the 14 but the others i havnt decided on yet - i also saw a really nice pair of shoes in town the other day which im probably gonna buy - ah im such a nightmare ;D

 

I know what you girls mean about the shoes, I have lost count of all the shoes i have I went through a stage when I had to buy at least 1 new pair every month - and then another new pair to go with the new bag i bought lol

Ok have no idea what shoes I'm taking but I still have 3 months to think about it

Boots - well I love my cowboy boots but just don't know if I will wear them in the heat and they are rather big to pack, think I'll stick to flip flops.
