Hi guys, I was just wondering what the general earliest and latest shift times are in the UK pavillion becasue I was thinking that as the world showcase doesn't open until 10/11am do you all get a lie in?!
I doubt it (but it could depend) for example when I worked at Mission Space it opened with the park at 9 and I had a few 6 or 7 am shifts. Granted those were to make sure the ride was ready to go before 9 and we usually had an hour or so of downtime but I would assume you should expect to start roughly at 10 or 10:30 to open and I'd plan to leave about an hour before your shift due to the busses.
In F&B earliest start is 10am- bar, everyone else starts 10.45 or later- but you can work til gone midnight sometimes depending on your location. In merch I think they start earlier! Charlotte
Generally, UK Merch start at 10.30 ish...shops open at 11...no-one works past 9.30pm unless it's extra magic hours when you work until 12.30am...there are a few exceptions...like earlier open/close times at xmas, and floor stockers work the latest... You do kind of get a lie-in...i mean, it's not like you're up at 6.30 every morning...but with the late nights you'll inevitably have and the stupid fact that the bus takes 30-40 minutes to do a 10minute trip, you will still find yourself not getting enough sleep!!! Altho having to get up at 6.15 for my job now, 8.30 seems like a luxury!!! x
Well my old job i had to get up at 5.30 every morning so 8.30 seems fantastic to me.. I can't wait anymore ;D ;D

I suppose you're right - night owls do seem to have more fun! I'll probably be converted if and when I get over there!
Morning person/night owl...makes no difference...the two become largely merged! Bedtime?? what's that!?!?!?!
This is the UK Merch shifts, and i think it would be similar in most of the countries. UK merch can start at 8am. That's to restock the pin cart and do change for the registers. Then someone starts at 10am to give that person a break. The next shift starts at 10.30am, when you pick up your shop and go to the morning meeting (managers talk about news and events about the park). Then you head to your shop to open up for 11am. Other people start later in the day 11am through to like 4pm and work til close. Normally 9.30pm but like Ellen said extra magic hours is open to midnight.
